Prodigy?! Not the only one?! Sometimes I just don't understand good ol' Bandana Dee, that kidder!
Was he kidding? Drat, now I'm surprised too. The face I made last night might of support the claim I have now. June and I are currently going towards Day's cell, and BOY did he look different from the seven hours before his sentencing. A bit of darker skin, matted down hair from sweat, sure there was some dried blood on one long strand of his hair - man, this looks like a completely different person! Speaking of different, I wonder what Bandana Dee is up to...
With the same cape and helmet I have, some soldier salutes us as we enter the cell. I interrupt him before he finishes saying our last names.
"You guys seem tired. You're all dissmissed for now, except Chilly, so my language can be translated. We should also get some water and shade, aanndd get another group of soldiers over here, maybe some waddle dees would be suitable?"
I'm surprised from what I said as Chilly translates that all in shock, and I think even June was surprised, too.
"Y- yes sir?" the soldier surprisingly says as he clicks his heels together. I was expecting him to ignore me, though. Once the soldier shouts a dismissal, it's just the three of us. It's weird, since we have a master criminal who's been framed, a girl who was thought to be perfect, and a pink puffball from another dimension who kills uncertified demons trying to destroy my home. Of course, it's not supposed to happen, but maybe the creator of us out there will let it slide?
June gives a canteen of water to Day. He struggles at first, but then finally opens his mouth to catch it. Gotta say, even damaged, it'd be impossible to not catch water on accident. I can do it, why not him? Day thanks her, then gives a dry laugh. He assumes we'll just go at that, but my lunch with William and Lancer isn't ready yet.
After some analyzing from him (I swear, the massive piles of sweat on him might make me mistake him for a Driblee...), Day speaks once again, this time in a whisper.
"Where are my brothers? Are they both alive?"
"Gladly, yep!" I reply. Chilly's translation reminds me how glad I am with my friends.
"And Tess is safe? No one's arrested her?"
"Not to my knowledge." June replies.
"What are they doing with Eden?"
"I don't know."
"Well, don't kill them. They didn't do anything, and Eden... he's not a lab rat, you know?" Silence fills the room before he speaks again. "I never got your names. Guess it's no big deal now, isn't it? You already know mine."
I speak up again. "Oh, this is June, and I'm Kirby!"
"Well, I'm sorry about him for you two. I didn't know anything would happen to him."
It doesn't take long before we find out he's talking about Metias. I don't wanna talk about the death of my new friend, so I quickly change topics to something I notice.
"Hey... could you open your eyes for me? Pretty please with a cherry on top?"
I walk over to Day. One of his eyes look like a little blemish. It reminded me of Ripple Star, for some reason?
"How'd you do that weird thing to your eye? The one with that little squiggle?"
"Now that you mention it, Kirby, how DID you get that imperfection?"
Seems like some kind of joke for Day, because he just laughs before talking to us again. "That impefection was a gift from the Republic."
We both look in confusion. "Poyo, what do you mean?" The poyo doesn't translate in anything but pure confusion. Infact, that's how Chilly translated it, with a confused face.
