"Lizzie, we're going!"
It's been around three weeks since me and Roma had our, "argument." I don't think you could even call it an argument... A falling out maybe? Anyways after that, we've got a hell of a lot closer, we're still friends. Close friends— with some weird tension, I look at him and I just want to kiss him again. Anyways, we've been making good progress on our history assignments, we're currently in the middle of writing an essay on the Boston Tea Party, don't ask. Since getting closer to Roma, it also means I've gotten a lot closer to his friends too. The Boy Band as Coach calls them, I love it.
"Guys we're gonna miss kick-off!" Liv has been rushing us for the past thirty minutes, it didn't help that Lizzie was refusing to go and Em overslept, and then decided to go to the gym before she would leave. I know nothing about football but from what Romas explained— kick off is when the game officially starts.
We have an hour.
Of course Olivia's being dramatic again. "Liv if you don't chill out, I'm not going."
"Emilia Wilson I swear to God, do not push me today."
"Olivia Johnson I swear to God, do not rush me!"
I sigh, I better step in before Em loses it, "if we're walking we need to leave now, the stadium is on the other end of campus so it'll take us 15 minutes."
"Great let's go Bitches." She grabs her bag before leaving the apartment, "Em do you have your set of keys?"
"Hey, Lizzie, are you ready?" Let's just say I don't think any of us are football fans, I mean Em is probably the most athletic out of all of us, Olivia is only going because she needs to talk to Hayden about their history assignment, you didn't hear this from me but he fucked up, I don't exactly know what he did because Liv won't talk about it. According to Roma, Liv walked in on Hayden and a girl— he then said he "forgot" about her coming over. I know she isn't upset about it, she has said multiple times how much she 'hates' Hayden but if you ask me, I think she's more upset about it than she would like to admit.
My phone rings bringing me from my thoughts— I swear if this is Em calling to say she's forgotten her keys, and therefore can't get back in the building I'm done.
INCOMING CALL - ROMA CARTER
Even better.
"Hey," his voice fills the line, "where are you?"
"I'm leaving now, don't panic."
"Yo, Gomez where the hell are you guys?" Jesus Christ. "I'm leaving now." Can these lads chill out? "We kick off in 50! Gomez hurry up!"
"Hayden— I swear to God, I'm leaving now."
"We'll see you in a bit Ele." Roma speaks once more, "Gomez hurry your ass up."
"I'm coming," I hang up the phone, I have a thing where I always have to be the one to end a call before the other person could. My mom believes that it's my way of being in some kind of 'control.' I guess you could say she's kind of right, I've only ever had two relationships in the past and I've always broken up with them before they could break up with me. Then again over the recent years, I've realized that those relationships weren't 'real' if you will. No offense to them but being younger at the time I now look back and I've figured out that I actually didn't really like them, they were just there at the time when I needed someone.
