I am truly grateful for the people around me.
They are my family.
"I swear, if Coach saw us right now he'd have our heads."
"He wouldn't have mine," Kian grins. We're currently sitting outside, the lights hanging in the trees creating a warm glow. It was beautiful out here, the sun has set, and the light of the fire reflects on our faces. Lizzie has let loose, Kian's convinced her to take a drag of his joint, everyone else is drinking par, Alex. This was what I was looking for. A family. I zone back into the conversation to see Alex kissing Liv and everyone else cheering, she pulls away to lightly smack his cheek, "not bad, Alexander." Alex winks, "you ain't that bad either." What did I miss?
I turn my attention to Hayden and he looks like he's about to kill Alex, "chill out Jones, it's a game". Kian mocks, "isn't this a child's game?" The lads laugh, "says the guy who suggests the game at every party we host." Oh shit, "leave me out of it tonight."
"Eleonora, truth or dare?" I look over to Alex and narrow my eyes, gotta love truth or dare. "Truth." He nods before pretending to think of a question, "what's one secret you've never told anyone?"
"If I told you it wouldn't be a secret," I reply with a smirk. Hayden laughs while Kian exhales a fog of smoke over the fire pit, which causes it to blend in with the flame. "That wasn't an answer." I tilt my head, anything. I could literally lie about anything and they wouldn't necessarily know. Why's my mind going blank? I could say anything. "I don't have any secrets," I shrug, Alex slowly shakes his head, "that isn't an answer, love." He continues, "everyone has secrets." I shake my head copying his actions from before, "not me."
I notice from the side of me that Roma leans back in his chair, "if you're not going to answer—" Kian jumps in before Alex could continue, "gotta do a dare, Eleonora." I look over to where Kian's sitting, he's currently sitting back with his joint in his hands. I narrow my eyes at him hoping he'll back off, sadly he doesn't. "Are you going to take a dare then? Or answer with the truth?"
I look around the fire to see Em taking a swig of her drink looking very entertained right now while Kian and Lizzie are passing a joint between them, to my right Liv and Alex are sitting next to each other, and Hayden who's across from them, with Roma on the chair between us. "Okay."
Kian raises his eyebrows, a challenge, "Truth or Dare?"
"Dare."
