Roma Carter is going to be my downfall.

As Oscar Wilde once said 'Never love anyone who treats you like you're ordinary.'

Roma leans in closer, his lips an inch from mine. He looks directly into my eyes as if he's trying to understand what I'm thinking. He whispers, "Eleonora Gomez, you have got to promise that you won't fall in love with me." He thinks he's so clever. Raising my hand, I go to do a pinky promise, "Roma Carter, I promise not to fall in love with you." He follows my actions by wrapping his pinky around mine, but before he could let our hands drop I say, "You have got to promise that you won't fall in love with me."

With his hot breath on my lips, he says in a low sultry mutter, "I promise not to fall in love with you."

Little did I know that this simple promise would be so hard to keep.

He raises his right hand to cradle my cheek while his left hand is entwined with mine. He breaks the distance between us, kissing me softly. He tastes like everything I've been missing. Slowly our kisses become to get more heated. In between breaths I quietly mutter, "Roma, I'm not sleeping with you." He pulls away, one hand on the back of my head the other resting on the lower half of my back, he kisses my neck and collar bone which will obviously leave some marks in the morning, thankfully he does it gently. He stops and leans back against the headboard. "Stay." A request.

Not a demand.

"Why?" I ask into the dead of the night. The house was practically silent other than the mumbles of the T.V. coming from downstairs. "Friends have sleepovers right?"

"We're friends now?" I'm friends with Roma Carter? From what I've heard he doesn't do 'just friends' with girls.

"Obviously," he smiles.

Damn his smile melts my heart.

I barely know the guy personally, but... I want to.

"Do you like to cuddle?" I ask secretly hoping he'll say yes. "With girls, I've hooked up with, no, with friends, yes," Roma says with a smile that could make anyone swoon. He knows it too, especially with the dimples that make him appear prettier. "You cuddle with your friends?" I question as I arch a brow as I await his response. "Hell yeah, me and Hayden hang on the couch every Sunday night and cuddle," he jokes.

Roma Carter smiles at me again and my heartaches.

What the hell was happening to me?

One of my favorite quotes goes: 'When you least expect it, nature has cunning ways of finding our weakest spots.'

Roma Carter was going to be my weak spot.
