Present day:

It had been exactly three years since sweet Aurora was born to y/n and her husband, Jordan. Well at first they were a happy family with everything they had until one day a woman showed up at their doorstep when Jordan was out working.

She claimed that Jordan had been sleeping with her and when she found out he was married, she dumped him as she should have.

The woman had nothing but respect for y/n and even apologised for she had no idea that her ex was married.

And just like that when Jordan showed up home that evening, y/n had her bags already packed and their daughter sat in her car.

Upon asking what was the matter, she told him how she had found out about him fucking someone else while she was pregnant.

Y/n was utterly heartbroken but denied showing any kind of weakness to her husband whom she was about to divorce soon.

Flashback:

'But what about Aurora?' asked Jordan furiously.

'Pretty sure my daughter won't like to stay around her father who apparently couldn't keep his dick in his pants while her mother was pregnant.' y/n retorted.

'She is my daughter too y/n. And where do you think you're going to live?' he asked.

'I'm very much capable to live without a man and if you have forgotten... I earn without even having to go to the office.' she spat.

'Y/n please let's just sit and talk, it was a mistake.' he said.

'A mistake? A mistake my ass Jordan! You didn't break up with her, you were still dating and apparently it wasn't fair to her as well.' said y/n.

She was on the brink of breaking down in front of her so called husband, holding it inside her was horribly difficult than she had imagined.

'She dumped you today when she found out you were married. What is it with you playing with our hearts? I was fucking pregnant!' she exclaimed.

'Baby, I couldn't realize-'

'Bullshit Jordan! Don't ever follow me or my daughter and yeah, I'll send you the divorce papers tomorrow.' she spat venomously and left the house, making up her mind to never return again.

Present day:

All this time it had been a pathetic memory in y/n's mind but eventually she got over Jordan and she was sure she did when she kissed Benny Watts, the man sitting next to her right now.

Two years ago, y/n met Benny while accompanying Beth Harmon, her best friend to the US open chess championship.

Beth always said that Benny and y/n had a spice, a certain kind of spark that was eventually going to ignite and burst into beautiful flames defining their everlasting, passionate relationship. At first y/n found it funny but now she knew Beth was right about her and Benny ending up together.

'What's the matter darling you seem awfully quiet?' asked Benny.

'I was thinking...' said y/n, pecking his lips, then she got up to prepare some food for Beth, Harry and their twin daughters, Alma and Alice.

'About what?' asked Benny. He followed her into their kitchen and helped her cook dinner.

'Aurora's friends are coming over for her third birthday and I haven't thought if I should bake chocolate chip cookies or get some ice cream for dessert.' she said.

'I know when you're lying, come here.' he said. Benny wrapped his arms around her waist and kept his chin on her shoulder making her lean back on his chest.

A soft sigh escaped her lips as she began to speak the truth.

'I don't know if I'm being a good mother to her. What if she demands to go to Jordan when she grows up?' y/n asked insecurely.

'Aurora barely makes it through the day without you. She loves you y/n, she'd understand when she grows up. You're a perfect mother especially when you're spoiling her the way you do. Trust me I never received so much love from my parents and everyone called me the grumpy kid at school.' said Benny.

She chuckled at his comment and Aurora ran into the kitchen during their romantic moment.

'Mommy, can I be Benny Wazz tonight?' she asked.

Y/n giggled at her daughter's attempt to say Watts and her eyes trailed down to Aurora.

She was wearing Benny's trench coat that was huge and trailing far behind her. Her little had had totally disappeared under his hat. Aurora's little hands were placed at her hips just like Benny did all the time when he showed off his knife.

'Oh sweetheart you're adorable but give the knife back and yes you can play Benny Wazz if he likes it.' she giggled at her daughter.

Benny was admiring the duo, silently giggling at the impression he left on her daughter.

'Wazz, can I play Benny Wazz?' asked Aurora, blinking her big, innocent eyes at him.

Benny chucked and lifted Aurora in his arms, 'Yes you can my dear girl.'

'I think she loves you better.' said y/n, caressing her daughter's back.

'I love Wazz, he's a nice man. You're going to marry my mommy right?' she said, hugging Benny as he carried her, putting her head on his shoulder.

'Do you want me to?' he asked.

'Don't you want to?' she asked, frowning in the process.

'I want to.' Benny assured her.

'Then I want you to marry her too, you make her happy.' she smiled adorably.

'Not as much as you do.' he said, ruffling her hair.

'Alright guys, I don't want to interrupt but you better be out of my kitchen if you want to have a nice party tonight.' said y/n blushing at the thought of marrying Benny before Christmas this year.

'Okay mommy.' said Aurora.

'You'll be my father Wazz?' Aurora asked as they went to the kitchen, their voices still audible to y/n.

'Yeah, a very cool one though. I'll teach you how to play chess.' he said.

'I will teach you how to hide from mommy when she gets mad at us.' Aurora smirked.

'I heard that Rora.' said y/n.

'Yeah, gimme a high five!' Benny exclaimed and y/n heard them giggling right after.

And that was the moment she knew she was going to have a fairytale ending with Benny and Aurora by her side.
