"do we have to go?" rafe whined from where he laid on his bed. you had brought all your things to his house to get ready and were standing in his bathroom getting ready with the door wide open so you could talk to him.
"yes, we have to go. look at it this way. i know this is just a lunch thing with topper and his family and your family too but if you're on your best behavior and show your dad that you can behave like a normal twenty-year-old who would like to go into his father's business then maybe he might be more open to showing you the ropes. not showing up at all wouldn't look good," you mentioned as you finished up in the bathroom and found your white jeans, stepping into them and pulling them up.
"why do you always have to give me the right perspective? it makes it way harder to make the wrong decision when i have you making complete sense." you snickered at him before shooting him a wink while jumping to pull your jeans on. once they were up and on, you pulled the zipper up and buttoned them.
"that's what i'm here for, rafe. to provide you unconditional love and smart decision-making skills," you giggled before slipping on your top and sandals, finding his mirror, and looking over your outfit. you liked it but you had an idea that you thought would look even better.
"do you like this?" you asked him after you walked out of his closet with a blue polo of his on, a little bit of the front section tucked into your jeans to make it more fashionable. you eyed yourself in the mirror before watching rafe's reflection join yours. his fingers tickled your sides as they circled your waist, resting in front of your abdomen.
"sweetheart," he whispered, his voice deep and suave in your ear. his lips ghosted over the shell of your ear before trailing to the sweet spot just below it. "i love it."
