random trips with rafe were always your favorite. they were always half-planned where you basically just picked a city or town and made sure you had a place to stay before jetting off. for you two, it was more about the adventure and the memories made together. you and rafe weren't the type to make a schedule and stick to it. you held hands and roamed the place, looking for spots to explore or try.
"rafe, in here!" you urged as you tugged him into the nearest building to take cover from the unrelenting rain. you had prepared for a little rain and made rafe wear his rain jacket but you weren't expecting the outright downpour that was occurring outside.
"dude, that was crazy," rafe giggled loudly as he pulled down the hood of your raincoat before tugging down his own. it was then that you saw where you were. there were a few people looking at you oddly due to rafe's volume and your random entrance. rafe's eyes searched the exhibit before he held out a hand to you. "wanna look at some art?"
"i would love to," you replied with a wide grin, taking his hand in yours. you had never expected to have so much fun with rafe at an art exhibition but you loved listening to what he saw in a painting or sculpture versus what you gathered from it. it was also fun to act as if you two were prim and proper art critics when in reality, you were just a pair of kids from kildare county. while at first, the bad rain was an obstacle but it led you to your new favorite thing to add your spontaneous trips with rafe.
