"Jeanie, can you get it? It's probably for you anyway!" you shouted throughout your dorm room after hearing a knock at your door. You were shuffling all over the place trying to find your math textbook but the damn red book was nowhere to be seen.

"Actually it's for you," she called back before you heard her fiddle with the handle.

"Well whoever it is, just tell them to come on in," you replied while you flipped your room basically upside down. You heard her and the mystery guest share some words before you heard your door creak open. You had assumed it was your best friend who always shows up unannounced so you didn't bother looking up.

"Are you gonna stand there or are you gonna help me?" you asked before you looked to meet the azure eyes you fell in love with a few years ago. "Rafe?"

"Yeah," he responded as his lips curved up in the most beautiful smile. You dropped the bag you were holding and jumped into his open arms.

"What are you doing here?" you questioned in his ear while your arms were wrapped tightly around his neck. You couldn't believe he was here in New York with you. Long distance wasn't the most exciting but you and Rafe made it work between North Carolina and here.

"I came to surprise my girl but she seems to have trashed the place," Rafe laughed as he set you down and looked around. "What are you looking for?"

"My math book. I can't find it," you pouted before you pulled away from him to look through the bag some more.

"Is it a trig book?" Rafe inquired while you sifted through all the junk in the bag to find no book at all.

"Yeah, why?" you asked before you looked up to see him holding the red book you had been searching for. "Where was it?"

"Under this pile of papers," Rafe showed you as you rolled your eyes at yourself.

"I just thought there were more papers under there," you chuckled lightly and took the textbook from his hands. "Thank you."

"You're welcome babe," Rafe mumbled before pressing his lips to your temple. "You got any plans tonight?"

"Nope," you informed him as you opened the book to find the pages you had to do for homework.

"Good, we're going on a date."
