"Hey, can I ask you something?" Rafe inquired quietly as you had your three-year-old son passed out with his head in your lap.

"Yeah, baby. What's up?" He sounded serious and his tone and expression worried you a bit. Your hand continued to rub over your little boy's back while your other hand rested on the bump of your stomach that was housing two beautiful baby girls.

"Do you think I'm a good dad?" Your eyes widened at his absurd question. Of course, he was a good father and he had been from the beginning. You were terrified when you found out you were pregnant but Rafe supported you no matter what decision you made. He was there for every step and held your hand through it all. Chandler loved and looked up to him so much and how Rafe could ask you such a question was beyond you.

"Yes, of course," you whisper-shouted at him, placing a hand over your son's ear so he didn't hear you guys and wake up. "Rafe, you are a better father than I or Chan could ask for. What would make you ask me that?"

"It's just that... Chandler's more dependent on you and I feel like he always goes to you and I don't know, y/n. I just don't feel like I'm doing enough," he spoke honestly and his words made your heart hurt for him.

"Rafe, you are an amazing father. Chan is just a mama's boy and kids tend to lean more on their moms in the earlier years. He's gonna be your best friend when he gets older. You two can play baseball together and do fun things like that. And, Rafe, there are two little girls on the way and one of them is bound to be a daddy's girl. They are going to have you wrapped around their tiny fingers and they will adore you," you told him and reached for his hand which he took. You watched the small grin grow on his face before he opened his mouth to speak. However, he was interrupted by the yawn that came from your lap.

"Mommy?" Chandler called before looking up at you. "Where's Daddy?"

"He's right there, sweetheart," you told him while pointing to Rafe who sat behind him. He rolled over to sit up before reaching out for his dad and the smile that showed on Rafe's face was bigger than one you'd ever seen on him. Chandler laid on Rafe's chest, grabbing a fistful of his shirt before letting out yet another yawn.

"Good night, buddy," Rafe whispered before looking up at you with such love in his eyes.

"Night-night, daddy."
