Herbilim : Chapter 5

Josephine's pov

An elderly man and a man in his 40s were in front of me. They weren't looking at me. Nakatalikod sila sa akin. In front of them are cops who are almost in the ten if you count.

I'm at Wilson University again.

It's only been a few hours since I came home from here because of the cats.

"What happened?" I asked when I finally get closer to them. "Bakit niyo ako pinatawag ulit?"

"Yuan's body has been found." The man in his 40s told me seriously. He is Darren Wilson. My husband.

"Really?" I asked in shock. "Where was it seen?" I turned around to look something. "Is his family here?"

It can't be.

Bakit parang ang bilis naman ata nilang nahanap?

In less than a week.. Yuan was found.

How.. can we do it that way?

But .. where did they find his body?

"Patay na?" Probably.. will Darren say they saw Yuan's body if it was still alive? If it was alive I knew what Darren would say was 'nakita na si Yuan' "Pero teka.. sa Wilson nga ba nakita?"

I noticed the old man walk into a classroom where the cats were seen. Jastin's grandfather. Mr. David Wilson. The owner of Wilson University.

Malinis na ang classroom. Wala na ang mga pusa sa loob pati na rin ang mga dugo sa sahig at sa dingding. Hindi na rin malansa katulad ng sinasabi sa akin ni Darren kanina.

"Hon, where was Yuan's body found?" I asked him again.

He ignored my question. He is obviously busy at maraming inaasikaso kaya siguro nila ako pinatawag kasi may ipapagawa na naman ang mga ito.

"Sir, aalis muna kami." A policeman said goodbye. "But there are some policemen left here to guard and even look around the University if there is any suspicious."

Darren nodded. "Did you see Mr. Alonso?"

"Bakit po sir?"

"May ipapakilala kasi ako sa kaniyang isang Criminal Investigator."

Tumango ito. "When I see Alonso I'll send him to you right away," he replied. "Siya po ba ang isasama niyo para sa case ni Yuan?"

"Yes."

"Okay Mr. Wilson." He handed the folder to Darren. "We will go first and we will have some reports to finish for this."

Tinanggap ni Darren ang inaabot sa kaniya."Okay," he said briefly and immediately opened it for reading.

"Dito ba nakita?" I asked again as my eye was on the cops who were a bit far away from us.

"Not here," he replied to me without looking and stepped into the room.

Not here?

"Where?" I asked as I followed him.

Muling hindi na naman napansin ang tanong ko sa kaniya ng may lumapit na janitor.

"Sir, aalis na po kami," sabi nito. "Itatapon pa po kasi namin yung mga basahan na ginamit."

"Hindi." Pigil ni Darren sa kanila. "Ibaon niyo na lang sa likod ng building na ito." He looked at the three sacks carried by the janitors. "Laliman niyo ang hukay." After he said that he walked over to the teacher table and sat in the chair there.

Ningitian ko iyong mga janitors. "Dalian niyo ah," sabi ko sa mga ito. "Nagpa-deliver ako ng meryenda. Kumain kayo pagbalik niyo. Tawagin niyo na rin iyong iba pa at pati mga guards."
