Noisy typing echoes into the halls silent from the office booth. Class had already started five minutes ago.

"Something's wrong...." a voice says beside me. I scan the hall, but no one is here but me and a man in navy overalls cleaning the floors.

"Miss Reeves please come with me." A tall old woman with silver hair asks. I follow her into a white room with a large desk and chairs on both sides. At the back of the room is a door with a bronze handle.

"Have a seat," she says, "Miss Reeves do you know who I am?" Her silver eyes catch mine causing an uneasy feeling to rush through me.

"Did you run..." a small voice asks in my ear.

"No....why am I here?" I ask.

"I am Mrs Ward, I am the guidance counsellor here at Black Barrow High." She says. "It has come to my attention by.... some teachers that you may need to speak with me on a regular basis just to ensure that your wellbeing is where it should be, is that okay Miss Reeves?"

"Ye...yes." I say nodding my head slowly.

I am just going to ask you some questions, if you feel uncomfortable than you do not need to answer but know that I am here to help." she smiles making her pink painted lips thinner than they were. "Have you been experiencing restlessness or unexplainable dreams?"

".... No." I lie, but I don't know why. I want to tell her about my dream, maybe she could help me.

"How are you traveling with schoolwork and grades?" she asks.

"I am doing well, passing with high achievements." I say.

"I have heard you have quite a broad vocabulary, that's nice to hear for an adolescent of your age. I am going to say a few words and I would just like you to say the first thing that comes to mind in a single word just to.... get a general sense of how you think ok miss Reeves?"

"Yes...okay." I nod.

"Blue." She says.

"Sky." I reply.

"Playground." she says.

"Children."

"Library."

"Buzzing." I say in my head. "Books." I say aloud.

"Camp." she says.

"Fire." I reply.

"Maddison Andrews." she says.

"Best friend." I reply.

"Cafeteria."

"Food"

"Fence."

"Buzzing." I say in my head. "Gate." I say aloud.

"Gate?" She asks.

"Fence." I say. "A fence has a gate."

"Theodore Millar." She continues.

"William Jones." I tell her.

"Storm." She says.

"Buzzing," I say in my head. "Thunder." I say aloud.

"School." she says.

"The bell." I reply.

"Good, thank you for your time miss Reeves." she says. "I will schedule our next appointment and let you know."

"Thank you Mrs Ward."
