My leg moves vigorously up and down. I'm not nervous, I'm just getting ready. I haven't seen her since camp and now she wants to talk to me. If I wasn't in school, I'd do more than just talk. It's only 8:28 am, two minutes before I'm stuck in that room with her. I plan to only say enough so she doesn't think I'm hiding anything, but knowing me, this isn't going to go well. It's kinda funny, I thought I'd be here more often but I haven't really felt like doing anything detention worthy these days. I have my brother, my friends, a boyfriend and I'm acing all my subjects. I have a purpose now, people rely on me and now all I have to do is act like the person I was. Shouldn't be that hard.

"Miss Price." She calls. She leads me down a hall and into the room. The fluorescent light reflects off all the white walls, making the whole room look like a lit up paper box. She sits at her desk, unfazed by me. She looks younger than I remember. There's more colour in her skin, her silver eyes illuminated. "You can sit."

"What's up?" I ask with a shrug. I feel like that's something I'd do. She takes a moment to take in my face then smiles, revealing her glossy teeth.

"The resemblance to your...... brother is quite remarkable," she tells me, "to think your dissentient character is the one of the reasons my existence is being threatened by a child."

"I have no idea what any of that meant." I tell her through a bitter laugh, but even for someone who skipped school, her words are sharp and clear, and sting like glass slitting thin skin.

"Please miss Price, we both know the possibilities of you doing exceedingly well in school is all my making. Shame our resources was wasted on a mind like yours." She smirks. I feel my body tense up an try to breathe my way through it. She licks her lip briefly as if she's tasting the air at the smell of the blood leaving me. She knows.

"Why am I here?" I ask.

"That's exactly what I want to know." She says. "A little girl's twin brother is invited to attend a 'summer camp' and she somehow makes it onto the bus and is mistaken as him for four years." I never ended up remembering the day the bus came around, only after. I couldn't tell her how I even got on the bus even if I wanted to. "Puzzled me for some months really and all I came up with was that because you are twins, you share the same DNA. Although, we should have detected that there were two of you, so where was your brother?" She asks me. I shrug my shoulders. No point playing dumb if she already knows about us, she just doesn't know about Jessie and Coby Ray. I guess that's when it all occurs to me that my brother was who they wanted. I'm not even supposed to be here.

"I was a mistake." I mutter.

"I heard your mother didn't even know she was having an identical little girl with the boy they prepared so much for." She says intertwining her long fingers together on the desk. "Isn't that the reason she's..."

"Don't." I snap. I stand pushing out my chair further than it probably should have moved, and leave slamming the door probably harder than I wanted. It's not like it matters anyway. I learnt to accept the fact that my life was never mine. Now I know none of it was ever supposed to happen.
