Spring Break

Kevin and Wade took advantage of spring break and decided to take the boys to the beach. They drove for eight hours and Gabe was hoping that was far enough away. None of them were out yet, except Gabe but he didn't advertise.

The beach was nice and their hotel was very nice. They spent one planned day snorkeling. That was Lucian's favorite thing. They really just relaxed. He did get a text from Jonah on Monday. The first official day of spring break.

Jonah: Lucian, how's it going spending quality time with your dad?

Lucian smiled. He was laying in his bed with Gabe, just cuddling. "I just got a text from Jonah. He's asking about vacation."

Gabe sighed. "Where did he go?"

"Uh, Florida. He's getting wild there. What about Keeley?" Lucian rubbed Gabe's back.

"She is spending it in Vegas with her family actually. She has a cousin or something that works in a casino." Gabe smiled. "Tell him you're getting it on with seven girls here!"

"No! It's supposed to be a week with my dad. One girl." Lucian smiled. "But she has hot friends!"

Gabe took the phone and typed for Lucian.

Lucian: Just fine. We went snorkeling. There are so many hot girls to choose from!

Jonah: Sure! Lots here too. Big party tonight but missing you.

Lucian or Gabe pretending to be Lucian: Me too. There is one here, dark hair, blue eyes, totally hot. I want to take her home with me!

Lucian gasped as Gabe hit send. "No!"

Gabe laughed. "What? It's not like he knows. Plus, I am better looking than those girls!"

Lucian laughed. "Yes, you are but I don't want him to know, yet."

Gabe sighed. "He won't." Lucian's phone buzzed.

Jonah: Sounds hot. Sounds like Gabe. Sorry he isn't there to stare at. You missing him?

Lucian took the phone from Gabe. "You are grounded!" He fake glared at Gabe as he typed.

Lucian: Not even a little He's a pain. Like he's all better than everyone. The guys here are better looking too!

That burn was for Gabe. Lucian laughed and hit send. Then typed more.

Lucian: My dad won't let me take any girl home but I got some good pics. Thanks for checking on me, Jonah. Have fun and don't die.

Jonah: Ha ha about Gabe and I will not promise! Party!! GTG

Lucian: What is GTG?

Jonah: Got to go! Caveman! Peace!

Gabe was reading with Lucian. "You are a caveman!" He laughed. Lucian dropped his phone and they wrestled on the bed as they both laughed.

It was a couple of days later that Keeley checked in on Gabe.

Keeley: Hey, Sexy! How are you?

Gabe smiled.

Gabe: Wonderful. Spending my break with my dad.

Keeley: I'm calling!

Gabe read that as his phone rang. Lucian was laying on a towel beside him at the beach. They had rented an umbrella and had a fresh coat of sunscreen.

"Keeley, hello!" Gabe flipped to his side.

"Gabe. How's the beach with your dad?" Keeley was getting her nails done.

"Wonderful. How are you?" Gabe touched Lucian's back. He was sure Lucian was sleeping.

"I'm great. We're home now but I'm at the salon with my sister. I was more interested in you! Did you take your secret man?" Keeley had to know.

Gabe laughed. "What? That's crazy, like my dad would be okay with that!"

"Gabe, you are such a bad liar! He's there! Your dad knows?" Keeley was smart.

"Yes, he's here but slow down. I'm not ready." Gabe sighed.

Keeley sighed. "I know that. Is it weird that Lucian's dad's hanging out with you? Is Lucian there? Does he know about you?"

"Keeley, he knows but so far, he's been cool. He's not here though. I think he went with a cousin or something to Mexico? It's what I heard." Gabe smiled as Lucian looked up. It was the story that they planned on telling everyone.

"I heard that too." Keeley smiled. "So, what's the guy like? Come on, give me something!"

Gabe turned to his stomach. "He's great, Keeley. I got coffee in bed and he isn't a cover hog! We're not having sex!"

Keeley chuckled. "Sure... but you're sharing a room and what does he look like?"

"No way!"

Keeley gasped. "So, I would know him from school! Come on, Gabe!"

"Keeley, no. He's sweet and treats me great. He really does. I love him, okay. We are in love and it's just terrible." Gabe smiled at Lucian.

"Is he there with you? Put him on the phone!" Keeley smiled. "Does he know about you and Lucian? In bed together! You never did explain that!"

"Hey! That was just that night and Keeley, he just needed someone who understood. We went right back to glaring. He lost his mother, give him a break. Okay?" Gabe kissed Lucian's cheek. "I have to throw my man into the ocean, I love you, Crazy!"

"I love you, Gabe. Have fun!" Keeley was gone. Gabe dropped the phone as he stood. He picked Lucian up and ran to the water. They both fell in and came up laughing.

Wade and Kevin were watching the boys from their umbrella and smiled. Wade inhaled. "So, they're in love!"

Kevin laughed. "What are the odds that they would find each other before we kissed!"

"No idea! I would like to think that our wives brought us all together." Wade sighed.

"Me too. Paige would have liked you." Kevin sighed.

"Fiona would have picked you out for me." Wade smiled. "She really... We talked about it. She said she wanted to pick the next person I was with so that they would make me happy." He wiped a tear. "She was always looking out for me. She felt guilty for leaving!"

Kevin hated seeing Wade in tears. "Paige did too but we had a couple of years to discuss it. She was a control freak."

Wade smiled. "Was she?"

"She was. How about Fiona?" Kevin was curious.

"No. Uh, in the house but not with me. She was bossy though. Lucian's a lot like her. Sometimes, I'm unnerved." Wade watched Lucian dive on Gabe and they were under water again.

"Gabe is bossy too! How's that going to work?" Kevin smiled as the boys began kissing.

"I have no idea but they are cute together!" Wade smiled. "Let's go swimming!"

Kevin was already getting up. They ran to the water together.
