Chapter 11: Trouble on the road (Part 2)

Carlos's POV

"Is this the place?" Carlos asks pointing to the building next to him and she nodded.

She thanks him and opens the door. She seems tired clearly he said to himself. He asks if he could accompany him until he reaches his house, which made Maddie skeptical.

"Are you hitting on me or something?" Maddie is a kinda joke but still on guard just in case.

This made Carlos kinda confusing for a few seconds. He then clearly states that he is gay and but he has to admit if he was straight then he would date him.

She smiled and waved goodbye to the policeman.

Carlos was about to step on the gas when someone called his name. The sound seems so familiar.

He looks behind and saw Athena walking. She knocks on the windshield and Carlos drops it.

He asks her what happened because she seems piss off.

She told him that her car broke down when she finally had a lead. This made Carlos ask if Athena is still proceeding with the case.

She nodded and showed him the file she has.

Carlos reads the content.

Two people are behind the robbery.

She explained that the woman is innocent, she describes that the large man and a woman are behind all of this. Now they need to catch them to get their badge back.

"We shouldn't interfere Sargent... I know that you want to prove to them we are right but this is going by our guts and look what happened when we listen... We got suspended... We should go by the book" Carlos replied.

Even though he said all of this TK's words still resonate within his mind. Telling him that the book isn't always what you take with you but your gut.

They were suddenly interrupted by a phone ring inside the car. Carlos observes and realizes that Eddie must have left his phone in his car.

He grabs it and saw it's Christopher's text.
They check and read it.

Sir Eddie this is teacher Zoe, we need help. I can't call 911 because our phones were taken and someone is watching us... I'll send you the location hurry, please.

A few seconds later another notification... There location.

Buck's POV

He and TK are walking back to the hospital when David's father walks in and waves at TK then proceed to walk away probably to buy the medicine for his wife.

He asks if that was his dad and TK nodded. He said that it must have been rough because they can't even hold hands in public.

He grabs something from his pocket and hands it over to TK.

"A chocolate?" the doctor asks kinda confuse.

He said that Taylor didn't show up anyway so he figures to just give it to him.

He declines as it's kinda too much and it's his money.

Buck then breaks the chocolate bar in half and asks him to only take half. TK smiled knowing that he wouldn't quit, so he grabbed the other half and took a bite.

Buck then asks if he will be busy later. He responds that he will be at Carlos later this evening because his family will visit and he will cook.

He nodded, waved goodbye, and walks away only to be stopped by the same man again.
