Chapter 13: Dinner set up

Carlo's POV

He is cooking a soup that his mother taught him when he was 12 years old. He loved her mother's cooking especially her famous soup and this is one of the dishes that he will be cooking for them tonight as it is their favorite after all.

Eddie then came to the kitchen to ask if he needs help with anything. Carlos state that he is his guest. The firefighter said that he wants to help after what he did saving his son's life.

Carlos reminded him again that it's a part of his job to save people so a return is not needed but Eddie insists. The policeman smile knowing Eddie won't just sit down so he asks if he could bring him some seasoning at the top shelf cabinet and the man nodded and proceed.

As he brought the seasoning he accidentally drops the pepper condiment on the floor, both men proceed to grab the condiment.

He then felt Eddie's soft hands yet again like earlier at the shop. Both look at each other for a sec before getting interrupted by a sudden knock on the door.

Eddie apologizes, moves his hand, and said that he will open the door. He nodded as he watches as the man walks towards the door.

This is really causing his feeling to grow more towards the firefighter. True he had this feeling before with his other exes but something different about Eddie, unique. Maybe because his exes are actually gay and Eddie is not.

He then moves on to chopping the vegetables.

Back at the living room

Eddie's POV

He opened the door and revealed it to be Buck hugging TK. Which kinda confuses Eddie and asks why is he hugging TK.

The firefighter replied that TK just went through a bad breakup and kinda needs someone to lean on. He nodded and let him in.

TK sits down and said that he is fine now he just wants to have dinner with his friends and call it a night. They sit down and Christopher wanted to play something so he and Buck ask if they could borrow Carlos's console and the man in the kitchen agreed.

TK was asked to join them but refuse and said that he will just help Carlos with the food.

Bobby Nash's POV
At the station

He is just cooking dinner for the 118 while Hen and Chim talk. The captain decided to join in as the foo is still not ready yet. He dried his hands with a towel and proceed to his fellow firefighter who seems to be really invested in What Chim is talking about.

The captain asks what they are talking about and Chim replied that Buck's been absent for some time now and they are thinking why is he not back yet.

Captain revealed that Buck said to him that he will wait until his brother is wake up before he can go back to work.

The two realize it and ask why. Even Nash doesn't know but from what he can tell Buck loves his brother and will put everything aside for his brother, sister, and friends.

He then heard someone called his name and said "Captain Nash your dish is burning"

This familiar voice made Bobby turn as he never heard that tone in a while.

It"s revealed to be Owen strand from the 126 wearing casual clothes and leaning by the fridge.

He walks and greeted the man with a hug and a smile and asks what's a captain of the 126 doing here?

The other captain replied that he is here for a few days to visit his son TK to see what he was doing.

Bobby nodded and ask if he would like to join us for dinner. The man declined and state that he will have dinner at TK's friend Carlos with his family.
