Chapter 22: Mistake

Days have passed after that. Taylor finally called Buck and told him that she will stay there for another week or so, Eddie is finally back to work, TK just got back from Austin, and Carlos is at work.

Somewhere on an empty road.

"Stop we aren't going back to Chicago. We need to get away far away as possible"

"No... You killed someone I don't want to be with you"

"You obey me or I'll kill you too. Your choice" he shows the gun and Carlos stop.

"Alright are destina---"

Carlos quickly grabs the wheel-turning car the other way around.

He woke up his head bleeding, car upside down, two other vehicles are in the area. He looks at the passenger's seat and didn't saw him.

He looks in front and saw him... George is on the ground bleeding, unconscious.

Carlos heard the police siren before----

"Officer Reyes," A woman said grabbing his attention.

"Yes, Sargent" he responds to her.

She looks at the file and continued to saw the policeman about his ex George. He acts professionally as he answers all the questions she asks. It's hard not to look okay when clearly he's not.

At the 118.

"Welcome back Firefighter Eddie Diaz" the whole 118 cheer after Eddie got out of his car.

"Good to see your face again, Eddie" Chim replied.

The 118 heads upstairs as they step, Eddie, ask where is his best friend and Henrietta points to the man on the couch sleeping.

Eddie ask what happened and Chim replied that he hasn't been sleeping much.
The firefighter's head to the couch and was about to wake him up before he stop.

"We should let him sleep for now. I'll talk to him when we have the time" Eddie replied and they understand.

A few days earlier

"Come on sis he invited us we should go," Britney said pulling Taylor outside.

"No, you should be resting" Taylor replied puller her sister back inside.

They two kept pulling each other until Taylor overpower her sister and she started coughing.

"Sis are you alright, I'm so sorry" Taylor replied helping her get up. She explained that she is alright and she is going to his friends' gig.

She stands up and walks away but Taylor stops her.

"Alright, I'll go with you... So I could at least watch over you in case something happens" Taylor responds grabbing her purse.

"Relax little sister It's not that bad" She replied.

"Not that bad? Britney, you're diagnosed with Stage 2 Lung cancer, and you're telling me it's not that bad?!" She replied about to cry.

"No no no sorry sis." She apologizes.

Taylor state that she is her only family left now that their father and mother are gone. She can't lose her best, one and only sister in the world. Britney smile and promise that she won't let it take away her favorite sister. She will fight for her.

"Now come on little sis, Enough tears for today. Come on" She said grabbing Taylor's arm and heading to her car.
