As the sun rises and rises, heat becoming semi unbearable, Eddie decides to have a beach day, to spend some time with his son after a long shift. He, Carla, and Christopher arrived, the place isn't crowded but not deserted either. They were carrying food, an umbrella, and tunes. Eddie wanted to invite his cap and friends from the 118 but it seems most of them had their own plans with their families. Cap is spending time with Athena and the kids in the amusement park, Chim is currently on the road, looking for Maddie, and Hen is with her family having a barbecue party everyone had plans except... Buck.

He grabs his phone from his pocket as he watches his son and Carla on the water, having fun. He dials his numbers and 1 press will call him but a part of him is wondering if he's better now? Not that he's ill or something, just seeing his best friend almost killed himself made him remember Shannon. And he thought he got over him but it seems it's coming back again. Maybe that's why he spends time with his son or his boyfriend... to keep himself from thinking about her. Why can't he just move on?  Or maybe he's already doing that with Carlos.

Eddie wanted to drop the call but proceed, Evan should not be treated differently after what happened weeks ago, he's his best friend who loves spending time with his son.

"Hello, Eddie?" Evan responds, his voice deeper than usual, probably just woken up the firefighter.

"Hey Buck, um, I was wondering if you want to join us here at the beach today? I know I should have called you in advance but..." Eddie was quickly interrupted by his best friend seems to be in a great mood. "Yeah I have no plans today, tell you what, I'll even bring food and drinks"

Eddie drops the call and became puzzled. Not that he's complaining that his friends seem to be doing okay now, but he's somehow back to his static self. again. maybe TK did help him find himself again. Speaking of TK his handsome friend just arrived wearing blue swimming shorts and a black shirt that says "I'm packing a piece."

"Hey, glad you made it" Eddie respond looking after giving him a quick kiss after checking if Christopher was watching. Carlos asks if this is a good idea? which he responded that it's better than him sitting at his apartment all day doing nothing. Which made the policeman agree.

"Sir Carlos!" Christopher yelled from far, waving his hand. Carlos smiled and raises his hand, waving back at him. The boy smiled and continued to work on his sandcastle.

A week ago, Carlos has been visiting Eddie for reasons he can't disclose, (don't be dirty) they just watch movies, go to the park, prepare dinner, and do other stuff. He got to admit, he became close with Eddie's child even though it has only been a week and a half.

___
Buck wore a blue half sleeve flower printed shirt paired with orange shorts. He got to admit, he is kinda digging the style... He looks at the bed, a man by the name TK occupying half of it. As he continues to stare at the man, more memories flow within him, emotions going to territory he knows nothing about. "What did I just do?"

The man turns to the other side, eyes still closed. Getting into a comfortable position. Buck didn't hesitate and move quickly to grab his keys and left a note on TK on the fridge door. He closes the door, running away from the person the cuddled him all night and... the person he kiss, out of curiosity.

What was he thinking? They were so close, nose almost touching, breathing the same air as him, feeling the cold breeze from the open window hit them yet, his body only register the warmth of the man's body, radiating towards his, as he hold him tight and not let go. Buck was either too tired to tell what's real or not, or he's just giving what his body and mind wants... a company, to touch, and feel someone.

Buck buried his head to the man's chest, hearing his heartbeat, his steady heartbeat. He didn't question what he was doing, because it felt normal, right. Having to feel the warmth of a body that isn't yours. It feels nice, comforting.
