Chapter 17: Getting Close

Buck's POV

He and Hen just finishes their shift and wanted to visit their best friend from the hospital when Buck ran into someone. More like bump into someone.

David

He seems to be mad about something. Buck thinks as he examines the pop star.

"Listen here Evan, you might have won TK's heart but you don't deserve him" The popstar responds angrily at Buck.

Buck remembered about TK and him pretending to be together so that David won't bother the doctor anymore.

"Look who is speaking, you are the one who doesn't deserve him after what you did to him" Buck felt that he should say something to the pop star to shows him that TK isn't just TK.

He feels obligated as it is true, He might never know the full story but he knows when a person is devastated. He became kinda expert when he was left by someone he loved a long time ago, only to return with a ring stuck to her finger.

The pop star only looks at the firefighter with a mad stare before walking away. Buck ignored that and continue to head to his friend's room.

"Who was that?" Henrietta asks pointing at the guy that just walk away with a grudge at him.

"Long story short. That's TK's ex and he's mad at me cause he thinks that TK and I are together" Buck replied after asking what room number is Eddie Diaz at.

"Wait you and that TK guy is pretending to be together so that his Ex won't bother him anymore?" She clarified the firefighter and he nodded.

"Don't worry it's good we aren't really together we are just pretending I'm not cheating on Taylor okay" Buck clear states as they walk in the hallway.

"Alright if you say so" Hen replied and open the door

"Hey, Eddie how you holding up? " Hen asks looking at him lying on the bed.

Buck questions if he has been alone for the whole day and he responds that Carlos watches over him.

Buck saw Eddie's face lit up when he mentioned the policeman's name. He tease the firefighter if he and Carlos made it official and Eddie denied it.

"Make what official Diaz?" Henrietta asks confuse about what the two boys are talking about.

Buck apologizes for revealing a part of Eddie and Eddie understands that his best friends are just happy for him.

Eddie explains to Hen that the policeman that Buck has been blabbing about is Carlos and quietly mentioned the part that he kinda likes him.

"So you are saying you also like men?" He clarified and Eddie nodded.

"Wow and I thought Buck here is the one that will end up marrying a guy" Hen added pointing at a now offended Buck.

Buck isn't really offended by what Hen said. He actually wonders if he wasn't straight, would he kiss Eddie back then?

This question seems so weird for him to ponder as they are way past that. Or so he thinks but clearly he still has something to say about that night when Eddie tried to kiss him.

Hen broke Buck's thought when she ask if he is alright? But before he can answer the door open, TK and Carlos walk inside.

"Guys didn't know you were going to visit tonight," Carlos said looking at them.

"Carlos long time no see" hen and he shakes hands before Buck asks about TK.

"He needs a minute or two. I wanted to take him home but I didn't know anyone that could watch over Eddie while I drive TK to the apartment" Carlos replied looking at TK.
