Chapter 30: Beach Day Part 2 and Chapter 31: Happily Ever After

An hour has passed, Christopher is building a sandcastle with Carla and Eddie, While Buck and Carlos are eating the rest of the muffins. The firefighter seems tense, Carlos observed. Noticing how his eyes move in a weird or unusual pattern, taking small bites that he hasn't finished his muffin for the past 5 minutes. The policeman didn't hesitate to ask if something is bothering him? Questioning if something happened between him and TK?

"No, Nothing happened. What makes you think something happened between me and TK?" He responds stuttering and making all those weird hand gestures as if he was defending himself. Carlos clarified that he was with him all those weeks helping him cope with everything that happened to him. Buck felt like an idiot, of course, Carlos or anyone would think that. So obviously, facepalm.

Before he could even speak, the man he was avoiding is here, walking towards them, waving his hand as he close the distance. Carlos stands up and welcomed him. Buck on the other hand just excuses himself and heads to a portable toilet, behind a so massive boulder, not even daring to greet the doctor. Afraid, of his remark regarding his stupid move.

TK notice that the firefighter is heading somewhere, speedwalking away from their spot. Carlos greeted him, asking if he wants some muffins. He sat down with him yet he didn't accept the muffins, stating that he ate on the way here. The policeman nodded, putting back the box of muffins away and focusing on his friend.

"So, have you and Eddie figured out a way to tell Chris about you two?" TK asks, eyes not on him, focusing on the kid in front of him laughing with his dad. Carlos sighed, giving a response.

"Perhaps it's best if Eddie came out first before saying you two have a thing" TK suggests, stating that the kid has been through a lot based on the stories he heard from Buck. Carlos thought about it, and it seems the best choice for the time being, not overwhelming the kid is the biggest priority. And from what his boyfriend said, Chris was not happy when he told him about dating Ana. But added that he isn't ashamed of their relationship, and he understands.

Coming out isn't particularly a 1-time thing, but it gets easier, the more you accept yourself. "How about you TK? Are you and Buck okay?" The policeman asks, changing the subject to release some pressure forming through his chest.

"Well, I guess we're okay...ish." He laughs nervously casually mentioning that the firefighter kiss him last night and now ignores him. Which made the policeman ask to clarify his statement. Blown by what his friend just declared. TK grab the muffin box, and stuffed his mouth with it, giving himself an excuse to stop talking.

"TK!" Carlos replied pulling the muffin from his friend's mouth and asking again what happened. Not that he's being noisy, he shared his boyfriend's problem, so it's only fair that his friend shares his struggle with the firefighter.

"Fine, fine. Geez" TK respond, surrendering and munching the muffin and telling the policeman what he was asking. Stating that the firefighter started tearing up from everything that happened, he moved beside him and embrace the man. Feeling the tears of pain and agony drip from his eyes. He stares at his eyes, his thumb examining his lips. Before he can process everything, his mind went overdrive as soon as the firefighter's lips closes his. Shocking his body and shoving him away, realizing what just happened.

"What happened after that?" Carlos asks, curiosity kicking in. "Well, he did apologize and actually spoke a whole sentence, which is progress from last week. After that, he asks to sleep with him on the bed... Before you think of something perverted, No. I didn't sleep with him... ok I did but, not what you think. We have distance, and around 3 or 4 am Buck moved closer, shivering. So I kinda cuddle him... THE END" TK responds, quickly telling the last bit of the story as fast as he can, hoping that the policeman won't have the time to fully register.
