Chapter 21: Everyone is Broken

Buck is on his bed staring at the ceiling wondering where is his girlfriend. He started doubting himself. "I'm I aa bad boyfriend?" He asks himself and looks at himself in the mirror without getting out of his bed.

He remembers the past relationships he had. With Abby and the others. They all seem to left him at the end. Is he the problem? will he even find the one that won't run away from him?

He grabs the pillow, covers his face with it, and screams in confusion.

Taylor's POV
She arrived at her sister's house. She heads upstairs to check up on her. She slowly opens the door and saw her sleeping peacefully. Taylor adjusted her blanket and heads back downstairs.

Taylor grabs the dinner she bought from a drive-thru. She didn't eat lunch because of how busy she was. Buying medicines, groceries, paying the bills, and talking to her sister's doctor about it. She was amused at how her sister do all this and still have time for work. 

She ate her dinner and read the news from her phone. She accidentally swipe and saw the missed calls from Buck. Taylor doesn't want to talk to him right now but she should at least let him know that she is alright. She thinks about it and said that the firefighter must be asleep at this hour.

Carlos's POV

He and Athena are now sitting, the air seems so thick he could cut it with a knife. 

"Sargent is there a reason why you visited me here right now? Not to be rude or anything " Carlos ask her.

"Well, it's about a case. Do George Rodriguez ring a bell? She ask and Carlos felt his whole body froze from what Sargent just told him.

He nodded without saying anything to not bring back the pain.

 "He died from a car accident, right? Well, a new case is being worked on and my men found a guy so similar to him, Like an identical copy of him. He seems to be attacking specific targets. We found the dead body of George's parents in their home here in L.A. If this killer is George he will attack you at some point. How did you know that he died?" Athena asks and Carlos tears up just remembering that day.

She told her that it's alright if he can't talk right now. She stands up and said sorry for coming here with that news. Athena wanted to stay with her friend but it seems that he needs space right now.

She walks out of the apartment when he saw Eddie wearing a suit and holding a bouquet. She questioned herself where the firefighter was going? but Eddie didn't notice her and just head to the stairs.

The firefighter sleeping on his bed felt a touch from his beside. He looks and saw Taylor beside him smiling and asking about his day. He was about to answer before Taylor vanish and a man is now next to him. 

"Just stay with me Evan," TK said laying his head on the pillow, smiling at him. He was shocked and rolled from his bed and fell to the ground.

He woke up from the fall, catching his breath from what he just dreamt about. "What was that?"Buck asks still on the floor processing everything from his dream.

Eddie arrived at Carlos's apartment. He knocks on the door and waits a few seconds. Then the man himself opened the door and he saw tears from his eyes.

"Carlos, is everything alright?" Eddie asks walking towards the policeman to hug him.

"I'm sorry this is our date and I'm ruining it" The policeman replied wiping his tears.
