Chapter 16

Gens POV.

"What's wrong?" Chubs comes running up to me and Liam. Liam is pissed that I'm the league. "We just gonna stand here?!" Chubs yells and I can tell he is over it.

"They are league?" Liam yells and chubs eyes shoot to mine. Jude and vida come running over to see what's wrong and they can tell something is off.

"Yes." Chubs says honestly and I'm really surprised.

"What about Jude and v?" He asks. Chubs nods slowly and Liam scoffs.

"So what now?! They gonna take us in? Lemme guess. You told them about Zu? They gonna go get her and tell her she is safe when she isn't?!" Liams voice gets louder and louder.

"Look I don't know who Zu is-"

Yes that one hurt.

"-but I can promise you that's not why we are here w-"

"I didn't ask you to talk green!" Liam interrupts in a harsh tone and I just now realize how screwed I am.

"What did you just call her?" Chubs asks.

"Genevieve." He says like it's obvious.

"No you didn't. You called her green." Jude says and Liam snaps his head to him.

"Did not." He says back.

"Yeah you did lee." Chubs tells him.

"Ok whatever. How can I trust you? How do I know you didn't force chubs to come and find me? Why aren't you taking me in?" He asks.

"I came on a mission to find a missing flash drive. We got into a system that told us you and Charles here were connected. We were trying to find either one of you and we happened to find him first." I explain.

Jude and vida look so confused but don't say anything, knowing it's for the best. "Yeah well I don't have it." He says.

I March over to him and he backs up. I keep moving till he hits a tree and is cornered. I reach into the jacket arm and rip the stitching for the flash drive.

"Yea, you do Liam." I say to him while holding it in front of his face.

"You took your brothers jacket." I state and he nods. Still visibly confused and mad.

"That doesn't explain why your not taking me in." He tells me.

"It's not my job. I was given orders I must follow." I say to him and it makes me sound so fucking bad.

"God, your just like the rest. You know. I thought you all were different. I was gonna let it slide that you were with the league until this. Your all a bunch of wussy's." He says and vida steps forward.

"What the hell did you just call us?!" She yells in his face and I can see that he is intimidated by vida attitude.

"You heard me." He says and she punches him across the face.

He steps forward until her remembers that she is a girl that he cannot hit. He looks pissed and just storms off.

"Go calm him down chubs." I say and he nods. He follow Liam and I take Jude and vida back to the camp site.

It's been around and hour and Liams and chubs finally decide to show back up. Liam looks absolutely pissed and chubs doesn't look to happy either.

"Look. I'll stay out of your way, if you stay out of mine. You can take the stupid flash drive you want and leave. You leave me and chubs out of your little club you've got going and everything will be good." Liam explained to us.
