Chapter 21

Gens POV (white Ferrari by frank ocean)

Packing up the rest of our stuff we make our way to the car. "Okay, I will drive, vida can sit up front to help me and Liam, you and Jude can sit in the back." Chubs says to me. I nod and get in the back.

I sit in the middle seat and Liam and Jude sit next to me. Being next to Liam is awkward so I squish myself into Jude's side as much as I can. I rest my head on his shoulder.

I close my eyes and focus on the sunrise. It's beautiful, the orange red colors mixed with purples and blues. It reminds me of Liam and I. I smile softly into Jude's shoulder.

I feel something touch my hand and I flinch back. I see that it was just Liam's hand and I put my hand back down. He slowly inches his hand onto mine until his whole hand is holding mine.

He squeezes it almost as to say that it's going to be okay. I look over at him and I see a single tear run down his face. I reach over and make sure no one is looking and I wipe it off of his face. I move back away and act like nothing happened.

I lean on Jude's shoulder and drift off until we get a few miles from the Dairy Queen.

"Okay so the plan is me and vida go in to scope it out. While we do that, Jude will stay in the car with Liam and chubs. Once the coast is clear, Liam and chubs you will be able to take the car and go whoever you need to." I tell them all the plan.

"What!? Why can't I go in too!" Jude says. Me and vida share a look and Liam and chubs catch on.

"Jude I need you out in the car with me to help me get some stuff together." Chubs says.

"Wha...that's not fair. You guys always do the fun stuff." Jude mumbles and if only he knew that this isn't my version of fun.

We pull up in front of the Dairy Queen and I let out a heavy sigh. "Well. It's been fun you guys." I say to Liam and chubs.

"This may be the last time I say goodbye. Once the coast is clear I'll give you a sigh to send in jude and you guys can take off." I tell them. We get out of the car and I give them both a long hug.

I don't want today to be the day I have to leave them, but it is. I was hoping we would get longer or maybe the would come with but I know neither of those is an option.

"Thank you chubs. For everything and I'm so sorry." I tell him. I don't cry, not because I don't want to but because it would make saying goodbye so much harder.

"Don't sweat it. Imma miss you mystery girl." He says to me. I give him a kiss to his cheek and move to Liam.

"Don't say anything. Just, let me be with you." He says and I nod. We stand there for a good minute hugging. I'm the one to pull away and I give him a kiss on the cheek too.

"Ok. Let's rock this bitch." I tell vida.

We head to the back and I tell her to stay down and out of view.

We head in the back door and I shut it. I jam it so no one will be able to sneak in on us. Mostly so Jude doesn't get in. I tell vida to wait in the back and I head out front.

With my gun aimed up I make my way into the seating area. " long time no see ginger snap. Get it? Cause your a red and an orange." He says and laughs.

"Clancy..." I say. "I knew it. I knew it was you but I didn't want to believe it." I say to him.

"No hello? I missed you?" He asks me with a tilt of his head. I scoff. "Come on Liam you can come on out. Don't be shy." He says.

"I dropped them months ago." I tell him.
