Nas finished lacing up his shoes before taking one more look in the mirror. He grinned at himself, showing off his gold grillz. He just got a fresh haircut too, so he was feeling himself heavy.

"You ugly as fuck bro." Jabari commented as he watched Nas get ready from the bunk bed they share.

Nas' smile instantly dropped. "Shut the fuck up. Go play some video games or somethin'."

Jabari flipped him the middle finger but Nas ignored it, walking out of their bedroom and into the living room.

"Ma, can I take the car?" He asked his mother who was seated on the couch watching the news.

She looked at him, observing his outfit. He wasn't wearing anything fancy, just regular street wear. But she could tell he was trying to look good for someone. The strong smell of cologne made that pretty obvious also.

"Where you going?" She questioned her son with a small smile on across her lips.

Nas tried to hold back his own smile as he caught on to what his mother was implying through her current expression.

"Out with a friend."

His mom immediately perked up. "Going out where? And with which friend?" She smirked slyly, causing Nas to palm his face in embarrassment.

"Ma, come onnn. Don't do this right now." He chuckled.

"Alright, alright." She laughed and got up to get the car keys from her purse on the kitchen table.

She came back over to him, placing the keys in his hand. "I just hope she got a brain to match yours. You're too smart to be messing around with just anyone, Nas."

"It's Erica's friend from upstairs! Y/N!" Jabari yelled out from the bedroom, completely exposing who Nas was about to be spending his evening with.

Nas clenched his jaw, ready to rush back into the room and punch his brother in the face.

"You're going out with Y/N?!" His mother shockingly, but happily exclaimed. "Boy, why you hiding that from me? She's such a nice girl. You better treat her good tonight, you hear me?"

Nas shook his head and snickered, walking towards the door. "I hear you. I'll be back in a few hours." He said and exited his crib.

He quickly made his way downstairs and out the building to meet you at the bench where the boys usually hang out at.

You both agreed on this being your meet up spot to avoid either one of your parents asking a whole bunch of questions.
