The next day I got up early and walked over to Poppy's and she and Romeo were in the kitchen.

We got ready and headed out to start our chores. The day went smoothly and by the time we finished up and had hot showers, it was time for her friends to come over with pizza.

"Hey, guys come on in and meet Luke." Poppy said.

We went into the kitchen and grabbed some pizza and went to the living room.

"I remember seeing you two at her graduation," I said before taking a bite.

"Yeah and I thought you didn't like him." Lilly laughed.

"Well I didn't at first and he knows that but he has grown on me as has this cute guy." Poppy said.

"Who is this cutie?" Lilly asked.

"That's Romeo. He stayed with me last night and kept me company on my first night here." Poppy said.

"He's my dog," Luke said.

"So Luke your a vet too?" Garth asked.

"Yeah been working here on the Ranch about six months with Worth and now with Poppy. We make a great team and have delivered all kinds of babies together." I said.

"So what are you two?" Lilly asks.

"We are still figuring that out but Luke did ask permission to date me and mom and dad loved it." Poppy smiled.

"Wow Luke that was brave." Garth laughed.

"I know but I didn't want it to affect my job or chances with her," I said.

They stayed for a couple of hours and I must say I really liked them. We already planned to do this next week as well.

"Let's go check on the animals and then see what dessert Clara left for us." She said.

We got in the side by side and headed toward the stable. We checked all the animals and fed them again before going in to find a note on the fridge.

"She made apple pie!" Poppy said turning around smiling.

"Let's grab it and go back to your place," I said.

"Good idea." She said.

She grabbed it and we headed back to her house.

She set it down on the coffee table and went into the kitchen and grabbed us some drinks and joined me on the couch.

She cut the tv on and we eat the pie watching something on the ID channel.

"Poppy I don't know if this is a good idea to watch this before bed." I laughed.

"What you don't want to stay and cuddle me tonight Luke?"

"Oh, I didn't even know that was on the table, Poppy. I mean your dad didn't say no. He said no babies."

"Oh true. Well of course I want you to stay the night and well Romeo too. She smiled.

"I'm going to go shower and then I'll be back," I said.

"Don't go. Just shower with me." She smiled.

I lean over and kissed her lips. "I would like that a lot. Let me just go get some clothes."

"I will be waiting on you then. I'll be in the bedroom." She said.

I basically ran home and grabbed some clothes and rushed back. When I walked back in I locked the door and headed toward the bedroom.

Poppy was laying across the bed with Romeo looking at her phone. "Are you ready to shower?"

"I am I was just wasting time on Fb waiting on you." She said scooting off the bed.

"So are we Facebook official?" I laughed.

"I wasn't sure if dating meant all that." She laughed.

"I have no idea either. The last girlfriend I had was in the seventh grade and that didn't last but a few days and I never got a kiss from her." I said.

"Aww, you poor baby." Poppy said caressing my face.

I lean in and kiss her and walk her backward into the bathroom.

We both strip down and get in the shower together. The water runs over her body and I take in every drop watching it move on her.
