Two years later...
I have the kids out on the back patio playing in a kitty pool while Luke was checking on the animals.
Lilly came over to visit and I asked her to watch them a few minutes while I went to the bathroom.
I haven't been feeling good lately and I already know what's wrong... I'm pregnant again.
I close and lock the bathroom door and take a test out of the drawer.
Once the test is taken I set a three-minute timer and pace the bathroom floor until my phone beeps.
I walk over to the sink and pick up the stick and read the words pregnant. Well, here we go again. I can't wait to tell Luke.
I put it back in the drawer and go back outside taking freeze pops with me.
"Momma I want blue," Ryder said.
"Ask Aunt Lilly to open it for you." I smiled.
"Aunt Lilly pleaseeeeee." He said.
Lilly laughed... "Of course Rydie."
"Wren do you want a red one?" I asked her.
"Pwease." She said walking over to me.
I handed Lilly a green one and I opened a purple for myself.
"Well, I came over for a reason Poppy." She said.
"What's going on Lilly?"
"I'm pregnant! We just found out and it's early but I had to tell you." She smiled.
"Oh, Lilly I'm so happy for you!" I said jumping up hugging her.
I really wanted to tell her I was pregnant too but I have to tell Luke first.
After Luke got home we went to the main house for dinner and it's crazy with two kids to feed and everyone loves it.
Ryder likes to sit between Roger and dad so he gets all the food.
Wren sits on my lap usually or mom's and eats like a little lady but Lordy is she picky just like me and it kills me.
Once dinner was over we packed the kids up and headed back to the house. By the time we got them bathed and down for the night, we finally had a minute alone.
I was turning down the bed and looked at Luke. "Hey guess what Lilly told me today?"
"What did Lilly tell you?"
"That she's pregnant." I smiled.
"What really? That's awesome! How far along is she?" He asked.
"Not sure she didn't tell me she just said early," I said walking into the bathroom grabbing the stick.
I got in bed beside him and looked over at him. "Luke I have some news myself."
"You have news? What kind of news? What's up?" He asked propping his head on his arm.
I pulled the stick out from under the cover and handed it to him.
"Why do you have Lilly's stick?" He asked.
"Lukeeeeee that's not Lilly's stick that's mine. We are pregnant." I said.
"Holy shit! That's yours? We are having another baby? When did you find out?" He asked.
"Today! I took it while Lilly was here before she ever told me about herself and I wanted to tell her but I had to tell you first Luke."
"You make me so happy Poppy!" He said pulling me on top of him.
He cupped my face and passionately kissed my lips. "I couldn't love you more if I tried Poppy."
"I love you too Luke. Family of five here we come!" I laughed kissing him again.
