A week later I planned with Holland and mom to watch the kids while we go up to the swimming hole.
Cotton and Champ were ready to go and I told Poppy at lunchtime what was happening and she was excited.
We rode the horses up to the swimming hole and tied them up around the tree.
We sit down near the water and put our feet in the water. I reach over in my bag and pulled out two bottles of water and some brownies.
"Luke you are so romantic." She smiled.
"I try my best." I smiled handing her the container.
"You plan all these things with our parents and they just go for it and then you had Clara make me brownies. You are the sweetest man."
"It's all because I love you, Poppy. I brought you up here for a reason really. I mean besides having time alone with you."
"I'm sorry we can't be intimate yet but well you know the rules." She said.
"I understand but thank you for the amazing wake-up call this morning with your lips around my dick," I smirked.
"You're more than welcome. What better way to start your day." She giggled.
I leaned over and captured her lips with mine. As our lips moved she opened her mouth to me and I slipped my tongue in.
I caressed her face and neck as our tongues swirled together. When we broke apart I smiled at her and leaned in for another kiss.
"I have a present for you," I said.
"A present for me Luke?"
"Yeah here open it," I said handing her a velvet box.
I watched as she opened the ring and she teared up. "You got me a mother's ring?"
"Yes, one of each of our children's birthstones in it," I said taking the ring out of the box and slipping it on her finger.
"Oh, Luke I love it! Thank you so much!" She smiled pulling me in for a kiss.
"Anything for you Poppy and we can always add to it later if you want." I smiled at her.
We stayed up at the swimming hole for an hour before returning back to the stables and put the horses up and fed them apples.
We went into the main house and Holland had the kids in the living room playing with Ryder while Wren was asleep in a bassinet nearby.
"Are you crazy yet mom?" Poppy asked.
"Heavens no. I love spending all of my time with these two. How was your ride?" She asked.
"It was great! Look at my ring Luke got me." She said holding out her hand.
"Oh Poppy that is beautiful! I need one of those so make sure to show your dad." Holland laughed.
"Dada!" Ryder said walking over to me and climbing up my lap.
I smother him in kisses all over his face and he giggles before jumping down and running over to where Poppy is standing and wraps his arms around her leg.
Wren begin crying and Ryder ran over to see what was wrong before Poppy picked her up.
"Oh no, she had a blowout." Poppy said making an ugly face.
"I'll take her upstairs and clean her up. You and Luke go spend some time together." Holland said.
Worth walked in and asked where Holland was and Poppy told him and he made a face. "Come on little man let's go outside and play in the dirt."
"Pappy go!" Ryder giggled.
I looked over at Poppy and smiled at her. He surprises us with how many words he knows now.
"Let's go pick some apples for the horses since the kids are being taken care of," I said.
"You don't have to ask me twice. Maybe Romeo will want to go with us." She said.
"He can't leave Ryder's side enough to go with us," I said.
"Ryder stole your dog, Luke. That dog is so protective of him and I've noticed he's getting that way with Wren as well."
"I've noticed that. Romeo is the best dog. Alright, let's go." I said starting up the side by side.
As we drove past we saw Worth and Ryder in the grass playing in the dirt. I guess he wasn't lying about that.
We pull up to the orchard and park and I lean over and kiss her lips. "I guess we should pick some apples."
"We probably should." She smiled over at me.
We picked two buckets of apples and then grabbed an apple and sit under the tree together.
"Life couldn't be any better Luke." She said laying her head over on me.
"Anytime I'm with you I'm happy," I said laying my head on top of hers.
We stayed under those trees for an hour and fell asleep. The rain started pouring down and it woke us up and we jumped up and got on the side by side and headed back to the stables.
"I guess we were tired huh?" She laughed.
"We have two children under two. I think we have a right to be tired Poppy." I laugh.
We feed the horses and then went inside looking for our kids and it was dinner time.
"You guys were gone for a while." Worth said.
"Dad you wouldn't believe us but we picked the apples then went sit under a tree and eat our apple like we always have and fell asleep." Poppy laughed.
"I believe you! You have two young babies I know it's hard but you have a tribe here that is willing and ready to help well besides Chad he doesn't like diapers." Worth laughed.
"Hey, no one wants to touch shit." He laughed.
"Shit!" Ryder said.
"I'm going to hurt you!" Clara said smacking the back of his head.
The whole table laughed. Chad gets hit often by everyone.
Wren begins to cry and Poppy got up to go get her and took her to another room to feed her.
Ryder was sitting on Roger's lap. He loves to stick his fingers in Roger's food and he doesn't even care.
"Ryder stop that," I said.
"No dada." He smiled sticking out his tongue giggling.
"Look what you guys have done to my child." I laugh.
