It was time and I was ready. Luke called his mom and let her know and dad kissed my head and stepped out of the room.
I asked mom to stay and help Luke help me. Dr. Terry got into position and the nurse helped me to count and push and it seemed like forever but after seven or eight good pushes our son came out screaming.
I cried when I saw him for the first time and so was Luke and mom.
"He looks like your dad." Mom cried.
"He does look like dad." I laughed.
"I guess his name is fitting then," Luke smirked cutting the cord.
"You have a healthy boy Poppy. He weighed in at 9lb 2oz. He is a big one." Dr. Terry said putting him on my chest.
Mom walked out of the room to get Dad, Daisy, and Ron. When they all walked in they were ooohing and ahhing at how big he was.
"So what's his name?" Mom asked.
"Before we say we just want to say that I picked his first name and well Poppy picked his middle name," Luke said.
"Ok, so what is it?" Dad asked.
"His name is Ryder Worth Bale," I said.
"You named him after me?" Dad said swallowing back tears.
"There is no other man I would rather him be named after dad," I said wiping my eyes.
I watched Luke hold him and just stare at his little face before he passed him around.

Luke sent pictures to everyone so they would know he was here and what his name was.
Finally, after everyone left the nurse came in and helped me to get him to latch on to my boob and he latched on right away.
"He was hungry." Luke laughed.
"Seems so." The nurse laughed. "He's the chunkiest one in the nursery and the cutest." She whispered.
