It's the day before our wedding and Luke made reservations at that cabin restaurant again.
We got dressed and headed that way. This time he didn't have the place closed and that was ok with me.
I'm so nervous I hope I can eat. Who am I kidding??? I can always eat.
Luke helped me out of the truck and kissed my hand. "You look beautiful Poppy."
"Thank you, Luke. Just wait until tomorrow." I smiled at him.
We walked inside and got seated and the waitress came over and took our drink order.
We ordered some wine to go with our steaks. The food was delicious and I loved spending time with Luke.
"Should we spend our last night alone? I mean at our own places?" I asked.
"I mean do you want to? I've already packed all my stuff up to move over to your place so my place can become vacant." He said.
"I think Brennon said he wants to move into your old place. I think that will be good for him." I said.
"If your superstitious or just want to do the whole night away from each other I can always go back to my parents." He said.
"Or you can stay at our place and I can go up to the main house I guess. I mean it doesn't really matter as long as we don't see each other before the wedding." I said.
"I like that idea better. I cant wait to see you in your dress Poppy."
"I can't believe we are getting married tomorrow evening Luke!"
"I know and I may not show it but I'm excited. I really hope my brother shows up. He said he was going to try his best." He said.
"I hope he does too. I'd like to meet Mr. Football player." I laughed.
We finished up our drinks and headed back to the truck. Once driving back to the Ranch Luke linked his fingers with mine.
Once back to the house he went and let Romeo out of the house and we headed to check on the animals before we called it a night.
"What are you two doing up here?" Dad asked.
"We just got back and wanted to check on the animals before we called it a night," I said.
"I can't believe my little girl is getting married." Dad smiled.
"Are you ready to walk me down the aisle to Luke?" I asked.
"No, not really but I know I'm putting you in good hands. Plus you're not moving far away." He laughed.
"No, not far at all. Which I'm thankful I can stay on the Ranch with all of you." I smiled tearing up.
Dad opened his arms and I walked in and wrapped my arms around him. "Love you, dad!"
"I love you too sweetheart. I will see you tomorrow. Goodnight you two don't stay up all night leave that until tomorrow night."
"DAD!" I laughed.
Luke chuckled... "I'll try my best."
I walked over to Luke and smacked his chest lightly. "You just told my dad you are going to have sex with me!"
"What? Do you think for one minute that he thinks your a virgin or that I haven't already been inside you?" Luke laughed.
"Eww, you didn't have to say it that way, Luke," I said.
"I didn't say tonight it was going to happen but I'm pulling all the stops out for you tomorrow night." He smiled.
"You are? I want details." I smiled.
"Nope that's on a need-to-know basis right now. You will find out tomorrow night." He smiled as we walked back down the hill to the house.
Romeo ran inside and I walked to the bathroom to wash my hands before heading to the bedroom.
"Well, this is my last night single. I didn't think when I met you that I would be marrying you but well the world has a funny way about it huh?" I asked him.
"Well when I first saw you I thought you were very pretty but I had no idea this would be happening." He laughed.
We stripped down and got in bed and cuddled until we fell asleep.
The next morning we slept in and when we woke up around 12 someones had brought food and sit in on the table out on the porch.
Luke went out and got it and we had pancakes and bacon together before I started to gather stuff up to take to the main house where I would be getting ready.
"I don't even want to be away from you for no amount of time Poppy." He said.
"I know but by tonight I'll be Mrs. Bale." I smiled at him.
We enjoyed our breakfast together and I took a shower before going up to the main house.
Luke decided to shower after checking on the animals. So I walked up with him to the stables to see how the piglets are doing.
"Well, I better head inside Lilly will be here soon," I said clutching my makeup bag.
"I'll see you under the trellis then." He said pulling me in his arms for a big hug.
"It's bad luck to kiss before the wedding," Brennon said.
"That's why I'm hugging her." Luke laughed.
"Bye Luke." I smiled at him and blew him a kiss before walking into the house.
"There you are! Grandma Josie said smiling.
"Sorry I went to check on the animals real fast with Luke."
"Oh, Poppy are you ready for your big day?" Mom asked.
"I am but please not a lot of makeup you know I don't like all that." I laughed.
"I swear you are nothing like me." She laughed.
A little while later after Lilly showed up we went upstairs with mom, both grandmas, Aunt Emma, Rosa, Jess, and Sid.
"I'm going to do your makeup." Sid smiled.
"Thank you! You know what I like." I smiled at her.
It wasn't long until my hair and makeup were done and I slipped into my dress.
