I can't believe today is Ryders first birthday. It just seems like he was born and now it's almost time for his sister to make her appearance.
Luke got him dressed while I slipped on a maxi dress and sandals and pull my hair up into a ponytail.
When I walked into Ryder's room he looked so cute in his little outfit.
"Ryder are you ready for your party?" I asked him.
He shook his head yes and smiled. He does this cute little thing with his teeth when he smiles real big.
"Let's go see what presents you got for your birthday!" I said as Luke carried him out the door.
We got on the side by side and headed to the main house. That tent comes in handy because we are always under it eating.
It's a wonder I haven't gained that much weight the way I have been eating with our daughter.
We still haven't come up with a name yet but we have it narrowed down to a few names.
Once under the tent dad brought a highchair out to the end of the table so everyone could see Ryder eat his cupcake.
We all gathered at the table and sang happy birthday to him while he clapped and then Luke put his cupcake in front of him.

"Happy Birthday Ryder!" Everyone yelled!
After he got cupcake all over him mom took him inside and cleaned him off and then come back out with him and sit beside him to feed him some food while we all ate.
"It's good to see you again Owen," Dad said.
"I'm happy to be here and I also brought some tickets for you guys. The first game is coming up." He said.
"No shit you brought tickets?" Chad asked.
"Shit," Ryder said.
"Uncle Chad I'm going to kill you! Now, look what you have done." I said.
"I'm sorry gosh I forgot! I did the same thing when you and Hart were little and you repeated it too." He laughed.
If looks could kill he would be dead because I didn't like it one bit.
"Poppy it will be ok he will forget it," Dad said.
I looked over at Luke and he kissed my head. "It will be ok Poppy."
Despite Ryder constantly saying shit shit shit we had a good dinner and birthday for Ryder and I was happy that all of our family was here.
The guys went out in the yard and started playing football while the rest of us sit around the table beside Clara and my grandmother they took all the food inside.
I couldn't help but laugh when I saw dad tackle Uncle Chad. That's what he got for teaching my baby to say shit.
I giggle and Aunt Emma looked over at me and laughed... "Chad so deserved that."
"I second that." Aunt Jess said.
"Watch one of them get hurt." Aunt Rosa said rolling her eyes.
"Well, it better not be Owen he needs to not break any bones," Daisy laughed.
"Boys will be boys." Mom said rolling her eyes.
Ryder was asleep in his carrier and I decided to take him home and Lilly was going up to the house with me so we can go over colors for the baby.
I waved bye to Luke as we went by on the side by side.
"I love your house Poppy and where it sets away from the others." She said.
"Thanks, we like it a lot and it's been hard to get used to something so big and have to carry around a baby monitor," I said as we walked in.
I took Ryder to his room and changed his diaper and put him in his crib while we went next door to the baby's room.
"So what color are you thinking?" Lilly asked.
"I don't want to just do pink since that's the standard normal," I said.
"What about yellow?" She asked.
"I was going to say purple and yellow," I said.
"Perfect. What kind of theme do you want?" She asked.
"Umm I was thinking like caterpillars and butterflies can you handle that?" I asked.
"You know I can. Give me that credit card of yours and I'll get started tomorrow." She said.
We were in the kitchen sitting at the table when Luke walked in. "Hey, I'm just grabbing some beers for Owen and Garth we are on the front porch." He said walking over kissing the side of my face.
"Sounds good. Ryder is asleep and Lilly and I are going over paint colors and how the room will look." I said.
He massaged my shoulders and then grabbed the beers and headed outside.
"Garth really likes Luke," Lilly said.
"I'm glad to hear it. He doesn't have many friends but he loves my cousins and he and my brother get along now." I said.
'I'm glad to see Hart has straightened himself out." She said.
"You and me both. That rehab really helped him. We had a heart-to-heart the other night and he's moving into our old place." I said.
"Oh, that's great for him." She smiled.
"So this is what I have in mind," I said showing her a couple of pictures.
"You know I can draw that up for you when I'm not busy being a scientist." She laughed.
An hour later Lilly and Garth left and I went to check on Ryder before going out on the front porch with the Bale brothers.
"Thanks for letting me stay the night with you guys," Owen said.
"We are glad that you are here Owen since we don't get to see you often."
"Soo any names on the baby girl?" He asked.
"Not yet but we have it narrowed down to a couple of names," I said.
"Not going to tell me are you?" He laughed.
"Well, it's a surprise and well we don't even know for sure yet Owen," Luke said.
