“Oh, Neira.” Tobi stood. “I wasn't expecting to see you again so soon.”

“Sorry...” Neira closed the cell door behind her. “But, um... I was thinking...”

“About what?”

“Well... About what you said before... I think I do understand you.”

Tobi looked at her as she blushed slightly, and a small smile crept across his face. “I knew you would. It's like I've met someone I can actually relate to. Which, believe me, dear, I've never felt before.”

“In a way, I... I think I feel like that too.” Neira smiled, stepping closer.

“You do realise... I'm seen as a monster. I do terrible things.”

“You're not a monster.” She shook her head. “Not to me. I care... So... If you'll have me, I'll do anything you want me to... I can be the best assistant you've ever had, if... That's what you want...”

“What about your friends, Miss Kiles?” Tobi seemed intrigued.

“Oh... I don't have a lot of friends...” She looked down.

“Well, Neira, you've got one now.” Tobi winked, holding out his hand. Neira put her hand in his and smiled again.

“Really?”

“Really.” He nodded.

Neira hugged him tight, and he patted her back, staring at the wall with an evil smile that she couldn't see.

“All right, Buizel, go again!” I called, shaking water droplets out of my hair. Back down by the riverside, we were practising again, but still there had been no success. Buizel tensed and leapt forward, becoming surrounded in water. After seeing the move so many times, it was like I could see it clearer. Even as he blasted towards me, I could make out his face in the water, even the black whisker-like marks on his cheeks. Little drops splashed out of the side of the jet, and the grass below him whistles with the speed of the attack. It was all slow and clear, crisp in detail.

This time...” I thought, slamming my foot into the ground. I pushed my body back with the force of my foot, and leant back as I moved. Buizel shot past, slicing the air right before my stomach. I stumbled back and looked up as he came to a halt, spinning around with a smile.

“Bui!” He cried. I did it!

“Whoa...” I blinked. “That was close... Ok, so I've done it once... The next thing is to do it consistently. Buizel, good job! Let's keep going!”
