“Gah! S-Skyra...!” I winced, bent down onto one knee. The robot was forcing its dagger down against my sword, which I was holding above my head with all of my strength. The machine was so strong that it had forced me down.

“Hah!” Skyra cried, leaping forward. His sword slid into the metal chest plate of the robot, and it jerked. As he violently tore the weapon back out, sparks cascaded into the air. The machine fell back and died out.

“Thanks.” I sighed, standing up and wiping sweat from my forehead. We had taken out seven of the twelve guards. Though they were strong, they were also incredibly slow and weak defensively. “These things can't have been made by Tobi.” I concluded, stepping sideways from a slash.

“No, he couldn't have conjured these up in such a small amount of time.” Skyra agreed, thrusting his foot into another robot's front. It crashed to the ground and he took off its head with one swipe.

I waved my blade along the side of another unit and it toppled down in a heap. There were only three left now.

Skyra ran past one and lashed out at its spherical leg joints. Two joints on its left leg shattered, and it dropped down to its knees, still working, but paralysed. Skyra went on to plunge his stone and steel sword right through one of the final bots. At the same time, I clashed against the dagger of the last standing robot, and spun away to slice through its chest plate. It clunked to the ground in front of me, just before the sparking robot on its knees. I stepped onto the machine I had just felled, and leapt forward, swinging the sword in an arc. The weapon sliced right down the middle of the final robot, and it split in two, revealing a complex system of wires that were flashing with electricity.

“Nicely done.” Skyra nodded.

“Using a sword isn't as easy as I thought it'd be...” I rested it against a wall and took a few deep breaths.

“Hopefully you won't have to get used to it.”

A light at the end of the room switched from red to green, and another set of heavy doors slid apart.

“You ready?”

“Yeah.” I wrenched the sword up again and we continued onwards.

The next room was a massive corridor, reaching far off into the distance, where a single white door was shut fast. The corridor was empty and quiet, no traps in sight.

“That has to be the main room up ahead.” Skyra nodded towards the door.

“Do you think they're in there?” I thought of Nelly.

“Definitely. Come on, let's go.” Skyra began to run forwards. I followed him, the sword weighing me down even more. He was a few paces ahead of me as we made it halfway along the eerie hallway, when things started to happen. As we ran, there was a loud crashing sound. We turned to see a thick white slab drop down a few metres back. It was followed by another one coming down not far from it. Then another one. Gigantic doors the width of the corridor were falling into place, like the whole building was going into lock-down.
