"How are we going to get to Unova?" I asked.

"Isn't that really far away?" Nelly added.

"It is far. Probably way too far to fly on a Pokemon..." Skyra thought.

"It'd take longer than a day to get there by plane, at any rate." Darragh said. "By the time we get there, it'd be too late. It might already be too late now..."

In the Unova region, N's Castle was under attack. As far as we knew, the seventh and final Soul Emerald was contained within the building, meaning Tobi had somehow figured out there were more. Presumably the castle was unprotected, as it sounded from the information given that his entrance had been made by the air.

"Nothing will get us there fast enough." Megan sighed.

"Damn..." Xene swallowed. Just then, there was a rumble that blasted through the air, and everyone turned. Was it thunder? No, that was impossible. It was a bright shining day. So then what had made the noise?

A figure out in the distance came closer, at a great speed. Wings flapped, beating the air as the creature began to slow down. It was a majestic orange colour, looming large as its feet touched down. It was a Dragonite, and its earring flashed in the sunlight as its owner appeared from the side, slipping off the dragon's body.

"Holly!" Everyone gasped.

"Hey, everyone." The current Kanto Champion smiled. "Janus got in touch. We need to get to the Unova region, right? Home sweet home!"

"Of course..." I nodded slowly. "A Dragonite can fly three times faster than an average aeroplane..."

Amber, Holly's Dragonite, smiled, stretching her wings proudly.

"So let's go, quick! I know this is a big deal." Holly said, patting her Pokemon. "She can only seat four though."

"Then I'm going." Skyra stepped forward, with Liv right behind him. Though it would be dangerous, he felt safer with her at his side, and she wasn't going to let him go without her anyway.

I looked at them, so confident as they ran towards Amber. Why couldn't I be like that?

"I'll go too." Xene said, his eyes burning with purpose.

"All right, hop on!" Holly nodded.

I felt some eyes on me, as if it was my responsibility to go. I couldn't disagree with that. But then all four of them were on Amber's back, and the Pokemon began to flap her wings. Words of encouragement were shouted as they rose into the sky.

Xene had an emerald with him. The only one left in our possession. And they were going straight to Tobi with it.

"Wait!" I called out. But they were gone. Amber shot forward at amazing speeds, and soon, they were little more than a dot in the sky.

We all turned back towards Fuchsia City.

Back at the workshed, the weapons and gadgets were still sprawled out on the tables. Darragh, Megan, Alfred and, now that he had appeared, Janus, went straight back to work on the technology. Everyone else waited back inside the house, watching the news carefully to see what was happening in Unova. I was stood in the shed, watching everyone work hard, as sparks flew, metal clashed and switches flicked. Darragh's sword that emitted laser light was all but finished, and the array of gadgets was increasing by the minute. Janus was sharpening Skyra's sword, the sparkling silver blade that was jagged in places, with a long body that seemed built specifically for causing damage. It was then, as I watched it all happening, that I remembered the stones in my pocket. The three pear-shaped green gems had been given to me by Zane. His parting gift had been these small stones, which he claimed would have the ability to defend against whatever Tobi's Ryuusei Blade would now have. Finding ways to implement these stones was difficult, but I had just found a use for one of them.
