"Aww, what's wrong?" Tobi mocked.

"Ngh..." I trembled.

"Is your little girlfriend dead? Oh, boohoo." He laughed.

I wailed and moaned.

"Nelly... No..." I had cried so much I could hardly talk anymore. The bow and the pendant were in my hands still.

"That's all I could bring back with me." Tobi commented. "Well, those and her blood. She wouldn't let me take the ring."

My ring... There it was, on my finger. Gold, with her name on it, a small heart beside it.

"GAAAAAAHHHH!" I screamed out again.

"Hahaha!"

Without words, I took the purple bow and tied it around my left arm. Then I hooked the pendant around my neck. It fell down next to the amethyst pendant that was already there. With that, I folded my arms on the ground and buried my face in them. I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted everyone to go away. I wanted it all to be over.

There was the muffled sound of something hitting the grass, and a second later, a cold object nudged my elbow. I looked up to see a handgun resting in front of me.

"Tell me... Will you embrace death?" Tobi asked. "Now that I've taken everything from you, now that you have no reason to carry on... Will you accept this as your fate, finally?"

I looked at him through teary eyes, but said nothing.

"The gun is for you." He said. "It has one bullet in it. You know what to do."

The weapon sat there, black and deadly, though it wasn't doing anything. I placed a hand on it. It really was cold. Lifeless. Death itself. These things could kill in an instant.

"Go on." Tobi encouraged.

I picked it up and looked at it closer. It was so very basic. The trigger was there, waiting to be pulled. It had already been cocked, and it was ready to shoot. It was so cold. But not as cold as the void in my heart.

"No... No, what's he doing...?" Xene watched in fear.

"No... He won't..." Lydia blinked.

"Toby... Stop..." Victor pleaded.

"Pull yourself together..." Skyra urged.

"You can't do this..." Liv shook her head.

"Don't throw your life away..." Janus swallowed.

Their words meant nothing. Just noises, buzzing around in the background. How was I supposed to go on? How could I live without Nelly? They didn't understand. My life meant nothing. Not now. It was over.

"Yes..." Tobi watched me with his sick smile.

"This isn't what she would want!" Darragh cried.

I shuddered. Nelly's face was the only thing that ran through my mind. My heartbeat echoed, pulsing through every muscle in my body. Why was it still beating...? Why was it still beating if it was broken...?

I lifted the gun, and felt the cold metal against the side of my head. One movement. That was all it would take. Then it wouldn't hurt anymore...

My finger found the trigger and rested there.

There were shouts of protest, but nobody could reach me.

"Do it..." Tobi smirked. "Pull the trigger..."

I took a deep breath.

"I love you, Nelly..."
