Darragh opened the door slowly, and two policemen were standing on the doorstep, their luminous jackets blinding. Past the two men, he could see several other officers and police cars. “Can I help you, officers?” Darragh asked.

"We have reason to believe that a mister Toby Grazier lives here.” One of the men said. “We are here to place him under arrest for the explosion of a laboratory which killed several people.”

“That wasn't Toby!” Darragh snapped.

“Argue the case in court, sir.” The other man held up his hand. “Now please come out quietly with your hands up, all of you.”

“Toby...” Nelly shook.

“Don't worry.” I swallowed, swiping my PokeBalls and putting them in my pocket, before lifting my bare heads beside my face. “It'll be ok...”

Everyone in the house walked outside slowly, arms raised. Alexis held Maruki in one arm and held her other hand up.

Outside, there were flashes and calls, as news reporters and journalists were filming, photographing and writing down events. One woman had her back to us all, speaking into a microphone, looking into a camera. The logo on the side of the camera identified it as the most popular news network across the whole region.

“Why did you do it?” A capped man asked, scrawling quickly.

“I thought he was a nice boy, fame must have got to his head.” A woman commented.

“Tch...” I grit my teeth as I looked at all these people.

One of the policemen stepped forward with handcuffs. He reached out for my wrists. “I'm arresting you on suspicion of-”

“I didn't do anything!” I yelled.

“If you want us to use force, we will.” Another officer warned, lifting his jacket to reveal a taser gun.

“He was here this whole time!” Nelly protested. “Ask any of us!”

“You can state what you want in court.”

“I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!” I screamed, stepping back.

The officers all reached for their pockets and I winced. Then there was a shout from the distance. The voice made my blood curl, and made me want to be sick.

“That's right. That boy didn't do anything.”

Everyone turned their attention to the hill a few metres away. A single boy was standing atop it, looking down at us.

“What the...?” I looked at him. His hair was just like mine. His face was... Just like mine! The only thing that was different was that he had a more athletic build, and his eyes were a deep, menacing red.
