“Master, shall we attack them again? They're all vulnerable whilst they plan for the holiday season...” Giovanni suggested.

“No.” Tobi said sternly. He was standing in a low-lit room filled with computers. Each of his underlings was at one, working hard for their master.

“But why?”

“Silence!” He snapped, not taking his cold eyes away from the shine of his blade. “Distant words ring true... When the boy is dead, what will be my aim...? That is what I must decide upon. For now, at least, let them enjoy their... Christmas... It will be the last one they get...”

“Do you have any ideas, Master?” James Caskey asked from his seat.

“A few come to my mind.” Tobi smirked, running his finger along the edge of the sword, drawing blood from a wound that existed for less than a second. “Something akin to a Final Solution, maybe... Perhaps I could build upon the remains of those robots... The possibilities are endless...”

He licked the blood from his finger and laughed, sending shivers down the men's spines. He was crazy, but he was powerful.

“You ok, Toby?” Alexis called.

“Yeah, I'm ok!” I called back down, grasping the side of the metal ladder with one hand, reaching out with the other.

“The light should be on your left, near the floor.” Darragh told me.

After a few seconds, my fingers came across the switch, and I flicked it on. The attic burst into light, revealing a number of cardboard boxes, suitcases and other items. Some of the boxes were almost overflowing with baubles, tinsel and lights, everything shining under the bulb.

“Got it!” I declared, climbing up into the attic itself so I could stand. Skyra and Darragh were at the bottom of the ladder, looking up. “Do we want all of these boxes?”

“Yeah, might as well.” Darragh nodded.

The Christmas tree had been set up in the living room, but it and the house were a bit bare, so we were about to retrieve the decorations from the attic.

“Whenever you're ready.” Skyra stated.

“All right then...” I picked up a box of tinsel and lowered it down over the trapdoor. Darragh and Skyra took it and placed it on the floor, before facing up again.

“Next.”

After about five minutes, all of the boxes were down on the ground, and I climbed back down the ladder. Darragh pushed it up into the now dark space in the ceiling, before pushing the hatch shut with the same pole in his hands. “Right...” Skyra looked at the boxes on the floor. Some were light, some were heavy, and some, like the box of colourful lights, were just awkward.
