THIRTY-NINE

Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time.Peace is not something you wish for, it is something you make, something you are, something you do, and something you give away.

I looked at the man sleeping so soundly beside me. I held his face gently. With this man, no matter how stormy the weather I know I will always be safe by his side.

"Good morning"bati ko ng minulat niya ang mata niya

He smiled and pulled me closer to him to give me a kiss on the forehead.

"Good morning"he said huskily

It's been three days since he proposed to me. I first told Freya about it. When I went to work tita noticed the necklace where my ring was that time. She concluded already without even asking me so I had no choice but to tell her. I didn't have plans on lying about this also.

"You sure you'll be fine alone there?"he asked

I smiled at him and nodded. Today is the press tita arranged for me. To confirm everything. She was really eager to do this before but when she knew I was already engaged with A she want to do it as soon as possible. I also do, so it wouldn't turn into a messy issue.

I smiled sweetly and kissed him before entering my car. I waved my hand at the window before slowly driving away my car. I looked at him at the rear mirror and felt guilty when I saw his sad face now.

I entered at the back of course. Baka dumugin ako sa front. May bodyguard din ako pagkababa ko sa sasakyan buti nalang walang mga media sa pinasukan ko.

Charmaine laughed on the other side. "Bear with it. You're the only surprise we could think of!"

I sighed heavily. Nang makarating ako sa tamang palapag kung nasaan ang conference room ay nagpaalam na ako at pinatay ang tawag.

Pagkapasok ko palang sa conference room ay agad na nagclick ang mga camera ng iba't-ibang media. Tita is already standing in front. Just beside a chair which I think where I'll sit.

When I sat on the chair, tita gave me a go signal already. Humugot ako ng hininga bago kinuha ang mic sa harapan ko.

"Good morning everyone. We called for this press to adress the rumor about me and Engineer Axel Ace Acera"I started

"Is it true that you two are in a relationship? Some already concluded that you two are but we need confirmation!"

"Why do you only released the press now that its already a year and half had past since you're issue with Engineer Acera started?"

"Is it true that you are already pregnant that's why you hid it?"
