THIRTEEN

The vast green land welcomed me as I looked at the window. I don't feel welcomed though. I don't want to be in this place. This is punishment.

"You'll transfer here, Xianna. I already took care of the papers. You'll attend the school next week"my dad said after we arrived in our mansion here

I rolled my eyes at him. He saw me did that but he just sighed like he can't do anything to handle my attitude.

"Is this your punishment? You want me to live in this poor and dirty place?"I asked him with a no humor smile

"Xianna!"he yelled at me

Hindi ko siya pinakinggan at umakyat nalang sa kwarto ko. He really tranferred me here just because he can't handle my attitude. As if  I'll change if I live here.

Bumukas ang pintuan nang kwarto ko at pumasok doon nang nakangiti ang babaeng ayaw na ayaw kong makita

"What are you doing here?" I said while raising my brows at her

"Uh..I'm just wondering if you need some help in unpacking your luggage"she said with a smile

Umirap ako at humiga sa kama ko. I can't live here. This place is so uncivilized. Puno ng mahihirap. Maduming tao. Mga taga-probinsya.

"Don't we have a maid to do that? Just let them do that. I don't need you to take care of me" saad ko at tamad na pinikit ang mata

"Xia, we don't have maids here"

Napaupo ako dahil sa sinabi niya. What? If we don't have maids who will do the house chores? Who will take care of my things?

"We only hired someone who will cook and clean the house. We don't have maids to take care of you and your things"she explained

What?! I have to take care of my things on my own now?! If I shop here no one will hold it for me?! Napabuntong-hininga ako. As if I can shop like how I used to in this cheap place. Ughh I hate this!

Why do I have to live here? It's because my father is sick of me. He sent me here because he don't want me in the city anymore. He's tired of my escapades in the city. He sent me here as a punishment for everything.

It's his fault why I'm like this. He's at fault but now he's punishing me. He notices my bad sides but never even bother to ask how I'm really doing. He's always so busy and then comeback one day with a girl with him to replace my mom. The disrespect.

And that woman. She knows that he has a family but she still married him. How selfish. She didn't even think what his children will think of her.

Sa mga ginagawa ko na nga lang sa syudad ko nakakalimutan lahat ng iniisip ko pinalayo pa ako doon at pinatira dito sa lugar na hindi ko man lang pamilyar.

Binuksan ko ang bintana at agad naman akong sinalubong ng malamig na simoy ng hangin. Tahimik ang paligid hindi kagaya sa syudad.

Wala akong ginawa buong week na nandito. Sobrang bored na ako. Kahit na bukas ay papasok na ako sa skwelahan ay wala man lang akong excitement na nararamdaman. I bet that school looks dirty and cheap as well as the students there.

"The car?"tanong ko kinabukasan nang makapaghanda na ako para pumasok

"There's a tricycle that will pass by here. You can ride that to school"

Nanlaki ang mata ko at gulat na napatingin kay dad. What?! I'm commuting?!

"You're telling me to commute?!"singhal ko sa kaniya ngayon

"Yes."

Yan lang ang sinabi niya at may dumaan ngang tricycle kaya pinara niya. Tumigil ito sa harap namin. Tinignan niya ako ngayon, hindi makapaniwalang tinignan siya ngayon.
