~***~

Grian walked beside Tango as they were walking through the main hub. The two were holding hands whilst they were taking in the main hub air. Tango's claim bite showed deep on Grian's neck while the rest of his claims were hidden under his sweater. Grian and Tango both approached the portal.

"I'll see you on the other side Grian."

"Yeah, I'll see you too!"

Tango went in first, the portal enveloping him then he disappeared. Then it was Grian's turn, he walked through, but instead of seeing beautiful green trees and a blue sky, he was met with grey walls and bright lights. He was then quickly captured with restrain poles and pushed to his knees.

"GET HIM MOVED TO A CELL. DON'T KILL HIM."

"What is he?!"

The moment Grian tried sending his body in flames, the wires around his neck tightened and he was shoved to the ground and his hands zip-tied behind his back. They pulled Grian up to his feet and forced him to walk through a hall while they spoke to him as a pet.

Grian strained against the binds as they started cutting off his sweater, "HEY! S-STOP!" One of the control pole holders hit the end against the back of Grian's head.

"Shut up and you won't get hurt."

Grian learned a long time ago to not disobey orders when being taken somewhere against his will. After his sweater was removed from his body, his captors examined his body thoroughly for bond marks and they found each and every one of them. They circled each of them then spotted Grian's phoenix birthmark on the underside of his chin.

"Phoenix." One of the guards whispered, "Take him to the bird exhibit."

"Right away sir."

The main person stepped in front of Grian, "God you're a cute one."

"Let me go, Sam." Grian growled, "You'll regret rigging my world portal."

Sam smiled and pulled out a tag then pierced Grian's ear with it, "Now then, take him to the bird exhibit. Make sure he stays there."

"Yessir."

The guards yanked Grian up and forced him to walk down stairs and inevitably into a habitat that fitted his species. The zip-tie was removed and so were the control poles. He frowned with a growl as they left the habitat. Grian walked over to the pond nearby and looked at the lacerations around his neck then at the tag.

A tracking tag. No escaping unless I get it out.

Grian noticed that the entire tag was almost fused into his skin, or at least that's what it looked like to him.

"Hey kid."

Grian snapped as he turned around, "Who's there!?"

Another Phoenix walked out and Grian's senses were suddenly all clouded. He groaned and shook his head, "Stop with the hormones. I need a clear head."
