"Etho, do you want green beans or do we want mixed vegetables?"

"Dude, I don't really care. A vegetable is a vegetable."

"But we're having bacon wrapped stuffed chicken tonight. Pick one."

"Fine, get mixed."

"Kay. I'll be home in twenty minutes."

"See you soon."

Grian ended the call and started walking to the checkout. Once checked out, he started to go to his car.

As he unlocked his car, he felt something cold against the back of his neck.

"Get in the car, and no one gets hurt."

Grian responded accordingly and followed directions. He was told to drive three cities over and into the country. But halfway through, Grian recieved a call from Etho. His kidnapper demanded he answer it.

"Yeah?"

"Where the hell are you?! You were supposed to be home an hour and a half ago!"

"Uh, I.. I got tied up. I won't be home for a while."

"Do you know how long we've been planning this?!"

"I know and I'm sorry! Just remember I love you."

"Grian I swear-"

His kidnapper started to interrupt, "Listen kid. If you want your friend back, you'll bring eighty thousand dollars to the creek three cities over."

"Who are you?!"

"The person who'll kill your friend if you don't bring the ransom." He then ended the call abruptly and looked at Grian, "You best hope that he brings the ransom."

When they got to the site, Grian was escorted out of the car while another got rid of the vehicle. He was brought into a dark basement where he saw a familiar man in a white hood.

"Nice to see you again, Gree-on." Sam motioned with his head to the cage beside him, "In."

Sam closed the cell door behind Grian as he walked in. He looked at his people, "Frisk him for any trackers and get him into the clothes that we give everyone else." He took one last glance at Grian, "Bathe him in the river. Make sure he doesn't overstep his boundaries."

"Yessir." The goons said, then proceeded to get Grian set up and situated.

It took a few hours, but soon enough, Grian was sat in his cell with his knees pulled to his chest. Grian prayed that Etho would pay the ransom, but the little voice in his head told him that even if Etho did, Sam wouldn't release him.

Days went by long and painful. After what felt like a year, Sam walked up to his cell.

"Your boyfriend paid your ransom." Grian didn't dare look up from his chains, "But once he learned you weren't with us, he called his cop friends and we shot him."

Grian's head shot up, his voice was hoarse as he spoke, "Is he still alive?"

"Eh, probably. How the fuck should I know? I shot and bolted." Sam opened Grian's cage and walked in whip in hand, "Let's get back to business, shall we?"
