"We need to talk."

Mr. D'inia looked up from the wood he was cutting on his circular saw and scoffed. He shook his head and continued with his work, ignoring the rather intimidating man. Anyone else would have thought twice before disrespecting him in such a way, but Mr. D'inia didn't care.

Erik stalked over to the outlet and forcefully yanked out the plug to saw, shutting off the blade, forcing his father in law's attention to shift back to him.

"What the hell could you possibly want to talk about?" He yelled.

Erik responded, pissed to have been put in a position of practically begging for forgiveness from Vivian's piece of shit father, "We're not leaving, so what do you want so that we can make this better for Vivian?"

"Vivian is allowed to stay, it's you I want gone." He stated plainly. He was no longer afraid of the Mafia King before him. He had already taken his daughter, what else was there?

"I'm not leaving Vivian here alone." Erik said pointedly, "My pregnant wife if you've forgotten, who is in a very vulnerable state."

"Don't remind me of how you knocked up my daughter." Mr. D'inia picked up the project he was working on and walked over to his workbench, "You've ruined her enough. You've got what you wanted from us. Now leave us alone."

"This isn't about what either of us wants. It's about what Vivian wants. It's about what's best for her and the baby!" Erik was getting furious with this man's idiocy.

"That child's your problem, not mine. You go ruin him like you ruined her!" He waved him off, finished with this conversation.

"You're right. He is my concern and so is Vivian, but she is still your daughter and you can't just abandon her!"

That did not sit well with Mr. D'inia and he spun around, teeth bared, ready to fight. "I did not abandon her! You stole her from us!"

"You gave her to me!"

Mr. D'inia stalked towards Erik as if he were going to attack at any moment, "You didn't leave us much choice. I never wanted this for her!"

"It doesn't matter what you wanted for her! She's happy with me!" Erik kept his eyes trained on Mr. D'inia's fists, preparing for any swings he might throw.

But D'inia didn't care that he was about to hit one of the most powerful men alive, he just did it. He aimed his right fist for Erik's jaw, "You've brainwashed her!"

Erik caught his arm, twisting it slightly to block his mobility, "You can believe whatever you wish, but it doesn't change our situation." He snarled, squeezing tightly. With one more quick twist, he could have snapped his arm in half.

Erik contained himself however and allowed Mr. D'inia to shake himself out of his hold and step back, "You're right and you can't change my mind either." He passed behind him and plugged back in the saw.

"So you're going to abandon her because of me? Some father you are."

"At least I don't put her in danger."

"It was never my intention to harm her!" Erik had been trying to remain calm, but all his previous composed demeanors fell out the window and he lashed out.

Mr. D'inia had had enough. It didn't matter that Erik hadn't meant to hurt his daughter, he still had. "I want you gone. You're tearing my family apart."

"You're the one that had another man walk your daughter down the aisle!" Erik had waited so long to throw that in his face, "It's your own damn fault that your family is falling apart. You're the only person that can't accept the fact that your daughter is happy just because she's with me!"
