Waking up next to her was the best part of his morning. Leaving her was the worst. He gave her a kiss on the forehead and slipped out of the house before her parents woke up. He didn't feel like kicking Dannye's ass again and he was sure to still be livid about the incident with Ollie, so he wouldn't take too fondly to see him snuggled up in his sister's bed. Oh, well she would be with him soon enough in their bed where no one could take her away from him.
He did have work to attend to today however, some of which involved the beautiful girl sound asleep in her bed.
Stepping back from the porch, watching her window with a smile he slipped into his car, sitting idle for a moment. He wanted to run up and snatch her away and take her with him. Wherever he went he wanted her there alongside him.
He had a video conference today with an interior designer back in France. He was getting his cottage remodeled before they returned from their honeymoon. He was having all new furniture, curtains, sheets, towels, everything sent over for them. He also was having her ring designed for when he did finally propose.
He had it all planned out, the time frame was still a bit fuzzy though. He knew they were making progress, that she just hadn't accepted her feelings yet. If she was truly scared of him, she wouldn't have called him and allowed him to sleep in the same bed as her without him forcing her too.
While he had most things planned and the many diamonds were being set into her wedding band, he wanted her to have some say as well, it was her wedding too after all. She would be allowed to chose her dress, of course, Erik would let her have whatever she wanted, money was not a problem, as long as it covered her up enough. There would be a few people in attendance out of common courtesy that he would rather not lay eyes on her, other than out of respect.
He had the engagement party and the honeymoon planned, minus the dates of course. All plans were up in the air just waiting to be booked, reserved and ordered. Everything was falling into place but it was all still too slow. He canceled all original plans for October once he knew Gino was not going to stop his search for Vivian and would do anything to obtain her. Now more than ever probably. His son's obsessive lust had probably only grown and that thought scared him.
He would teach her to protect herself for when he was not there, though he would rather she was in his sight at all times. He knew he could not involve her in his work, it was no place for someone like Vivian or a woman at all. She would stay home and care for the house and children. Their children. Living proof of their love.
Erik found himself lounging in his office, tapping off his cigarette over the ashtray after handling a minor issue of another gang thinking they could challenge him. Such naive children. He remembered thinking like them once, that was until his father whipped him into shape, showing him that a true man doesn't care about petty things like being on top, as long as he had the success he aimed for, he would be on top of his own world. Yes, he was the king, but so were others.
He was king of not only his mafia but also of his many hotels and restaurants. His money was his and he had earned it. He had worked hard since his father died when he was 23 to make it that way. He bought his first restaurant the same year and began to build one of the biggest hotels in all of France the following year.
His one brother, Jakob, took no part in the 'family business' and had gotten married to his college sweetheart when he was studying abroad. Erik had become an uncle 2 years ago, which only increased his desire for a small family of his own. He had not yet had the opportunity to begin this portion of his life, because he had not ever felt love for anyone besides his family. Sure he had had several girlfriends throughout his life, and he was by no means a virgin. Erik was a man who had his needs, but none of his previous lovers would ever compare to his Vivian. Besides he would not let some common whore have his child, just for the purpose of producing an heir. Vivian was no common whore, she was his image of a perfect wife, someone he could and would love for the rest of his life.
