"Vivian?" Erik called out for her from the bedroom, fixing the buttons of his shirt, "Do you need help?" He asked her, looking over at the open door to the bathroom.
"Umm-" she responded, fiddling with the tie on the back of her dress, "Yes please." She dropped the two pieces of green silk and sighed, surprisingly exhausted from such a small activity.
Erik entered the closet behind her, looking her up and down, the feeling of his eyes trailing down her body making a shiver run down her spine, "You look ravishing." He complimented, kissing her cheek and letting his fingers follow the curves of her breasts down to the strip of silk. Careful not to tie it too tightly, he took his time in making sure the bow looked just right, on his perfect wife.
"I look fat." She complained, messing with the off the shoulder sleeves of the emerald gown. She kicked her feet out from under the long skirt with a sigh, "How am I even supposed to walk in this?"
Erik raised a brow at her in the mirror, finishing up the last knot, "Stop." He pulled her hair off to one side and kissed her exposed collar bone, "Tu es belle, mon cœur." (You are beautiful my heart)
Vivian smiled tightly, blushing deeply. She brought her fingers up to brush through his silky black hair and sighed, "Let's get this over with."
"In a rush are we?" He teased her, continuing to kiss up her neck and to her jaw.
"Well-" she drew out the word, pulling away, "The sooner we get there the sooner we can leave and you can have me all to yourself... in bed."
"Mmm." He licked his lips and smiled, "Shall we?" He offered her his hand and she accepted it with a smile.
Hand in hand they made their way down stairs and into the large garage, the only part of the house that seemed to fit a mansion. Erik didn't like unnecessary space, thus his house wasn't a castle but rather a large enough home for his family to grow into.
One place however did need a lot of open space and that was the garage. Inside were 8 different luxury cars and 4 motorcycles. Of course, up front and center, freshly washed and waxed was his royal blue Rolls Royce, Vivian's favorite. It had only arrived in France about a week ago along with his Harley Davidson and Lamborghini from the house in Nebraska. They had to be sent over to France, a long and tedious process, but necessary, considering he couldn't really keep them there anymore since there wasn't much left of the house in Nebraska.
Helping her step up into the front seat and making sure she was safely inside, he couldn't help but smile at the thought of only a few months from now, being able to take his son with them, making sure he was safely buckled in his car seat.
Vivian bit her lip, loving that smile that she so rarely got to see, but had to stop herself from saying anything, not wanting to ruin the moment. Climbing in behind the wheel, his hand found her thigh and they were off, heading out into the dense woods, two SUVs close behind.
Always at least 10 guards.
Vivian sighed, leaning her head against the window, "I haven't seen Johanna lately." She commented breaking the silence, "Or Dannye."
"They've been busy at the warehouse." Erik replied plainly, purposely not going into very much detailed.
"Busy with what?" She asked, "Are they settling into it all well?"
Erik chucked, rubbing up and down her leg, "Those are two very different questions, but I would say yes. They'll figure it out."
Vivian sucked her teeth in thought, "You're not getting out of this any time soon are you?"
Erik shook his head, "He has no experience beyond his little gang. My men don't respect him."
"Maybe you should pick someone else." Vivian said, feeling a twinge of guilt in her chest for betraying her brother, but if she was being honest she hated the idea of anyone she loved being involved in such a dangerous life.
