Ballice's pov
I'm getting crazy...
Everything happens so fast...
I'm pushing this girl off me and she's complaining but I don't give a damn when I shove her outside my door.
"Bally... She doesn't love you... She left you!" She literally screams.
"Leave!" I shout banging my door close on her face.
Why did it have to be today? Oh God why?
I don't know why she chose to come but all I know she had a reason...be it good or bad.As my hands frantically move to my hair, pulling it, my eyes fall on the phone and a small brown envelope on the ground.
I don't even have time to check what's in it, I pick them and run out. On the balcony outside I see her running towards her bike, and before she hops on it, she looks up, our eyes meet. I wave signaling her to wait for me. Instead, she starts her engine, zooming down the road in a very high speed, her long hair trailing behind her.
Next thing I know, I've gotten my backpack from my house, I've shoved her phone and envelope in it. I pick up my car keys and run down to our parking lot.
I don't even pay attention to the scrutinizing gaze of our security officers when they open the gate for me, I just drive off faster, hoping I'll catch up with her. I just want to know what she had to say even though I know I messed it all up. Maybe she was now confident enough to come tell me that she already moved on and I should too. My mom must have persuaded her. I feel like snorting but I don't know why I feel like there's something more.
If she had moved on, she shouldn't have reacted that way and ran off. I should just stop feeding up my head with nonsense thoughts really.
Things happen so fast. There's a car going after her on the same high speed.
There's a good distance between us and that makes me speed up more.
I loose track of time, and all I see is stars next. I feel like I'm hallucinating as I get close.
My heart drops, my eyes get blurry but I'm sure I see it happening almost like a slow motion. We're in Brooklyn already.
The car bumps into her motorbike and she's flying over it and before she hits the ground, the car bumps into her again.
My fingers are shaking and I can't even drive forward smoothly as I thought. I try but I think that everything stops working for me.
I don't see what happens next because my vision gets blurry, all I see is the woman getting into her car. And she is lying on the ground and I see blood...
God no! Noooooooooo!
I don't think twice, people are gathering around and this time I feel the rush, I step on the brakes and I drive after her.
My adrenaline rush piques and I can't help the angry tears streaming down my cheeks.
I don't know if I made the right decision to go after this woman first. I couldn't help it, I know they will help her and God I hope she's alive... I flinch at the state I left her in.I'm sorry! I swipe the tears angrily gripping the sterling tightly. I see my knuckles turning white but I don't pay twice attention to it, it's just the car in front of me.
I don't know how I do it, but I use one hand to dial my phone with shaky hands as I keep up with the woman's speed.
After about a ring, they pick up.
"How may we help you?" A gentleman's voice booms from the speakers. I assume he's the police officer.
I breathe heavily and tell them about the accident and the woman I'm trailing on. They assure me that they're on it and after I hang up, I take on another speed when I see that she's about to branch to another road.
