"Ughhhhhhh!" I groan out loudly lifting myself off from the floor and I strut towards my closet. I take one of Ballice's hoodie and wear it. Wearing it is giving me some sort of comfort.

"Sunshine." My father's voice comes through the door.

I quickly rub my eyes dry with my pillow. Taking air in and out for a few times , I walk towards the door and open it. And there I meet the man who has showered me with nothing but affection all through, since I stepped into this so not inviting world looking at me worriedly. I throw myself into his arms and he doesn't hesitate wrapping his arms around me in a comforting way.

"Dad I missed you." I whisper into his chest after a while. He rubs my back up and down without saying a word and he finally speaks up,

"What's wrong babygirl."

"Nothing dad, I just missed you." I reply.

" You know you can tell me anything. I'm your favourite buddy as you always put it. And more likely, your number one fan. So tell me."

" Stop it dad, I'm okay." I crack up a little slapping him on his chest.

" Did that boyfriend of yours hurt you?" He pushes on.

" Of course not!" I defend him laughing.

"Or did he try getting my sunshine to sleep with him a---"

"Dad!" I shout hitting him hard on his chest. I feel his chest rising up and down and it's vibrating at the same time. I look up to find him laughing like really laughing. "Eewwww that's so gross dad! And so unlike you!" I say joining him in his laughter.

"Don't tell me he has not brought that up, I'm a man and I know boys." He says still laughing.

" Enough just leave Ballice out of this conversation. Please." I kind of beg, kind of command.

" Why are you being so defensive of Ballice. Don't tell me... Oh shit!" He cusses shocking the daylights out of me.

"Dad you didn't just cuss!" I throw my head back laughing.

" Stop avoiding it, did you two...you know?"

"Of course not! We are too young for that!" I fake disgust but inwardly am rolling my eyes out.

" Wuuuu..." He lets out a whiff of air. "Thank God, I was so damn worried that my only babygirl is now playing adult even before she's eighteen."

" You know me well. I won't." I Lie yet again.

" I Know you well, you can." He insists.

" Whatever, I didn't and that's the keyword here. And that's so FINAL." I command.

" Okay, I surrender." He throws his hands up.

" So you cuss dad?" I smile up at him.

" Of course, you think you're the only one allowed?" He teases back.

" So weird!" I comment.

" Whatever." He slurs a playful glint in his eyes. " I'm taking you out, take a shower and we will be leaving in an hour or two. You and those two morons down there." He points at Bruce and Lodzin who are running around downstairs.

" I sure need a breather. Am game." I shout running into my room as he leaves.

I fumble with my keyboard trying to find the right words to tell Ballice once I check on my phone only to be greeted with his numerous messages and missed calls asking me if I'm okay and where I am.

I muster all the courage and call him. After two rings he picks his phone up.

"Jesus princess, I was so damn worried. I've called almost all of your friends now I was going to call your place." His voice comes rushing out and I can feel my lips twitching up at the corner. He cares about me.
