The morning sun is casting shadows on his brutally beautiful face and I can't stop smiling as I admire his facial features. This reminds on the day I first set my eyes on him. He looked so gorgeous to be true but here he is sleeping beside me.

A light snore is escaping his slightly parted lips. He must be tired from yesterday. Talking of which, I don't know if he still wants us to leave this place and honestly I don't think that was a good idea, I can't just leave my family for I don't know where.

A crazy idea crosses my mind and I don't care if he's tired or what, besides, this was supposed to be his birthday present aside from the chain and hoodie that I got him. I bite my lip so hard imagining how I want to ride him out of his brains.

He smiles in his sleep and the smile is immediately replaced with a frown forming creases on the skin of his forehead, I stretch my hand to straighten them but I don't make it as smoothly as I thought because a text notification has me dropping my hand and crawling towards the table beside the bed to get my phone.

Unknown: Teline avenue, meet me there. There is important information you have to know about your mother. It's either you come right this instant or you'll NEVER KNOW ANYTHING!

My heart stops for a moment as I reread the text for the fourth time. Should I really go? I think the real question is, do I want to know?

****

The latter question won because I'm now standing beside my bike scanning the area around Teline avenue. It took me exactly twenty minutes to get my anxious and curious ass here.

Can't believe I'm meeting with this stranger.

Me: Where are you?

I text the unknown number.

Unknown: Just stand there, don't move.

My heart is plummeting so hard against my chest and my hands are not helping neither. They're all sweaty and I can't stop fidgeting.

"Hello miss." A sweet feminine voice startles me and immediately I turn around to meet a woman who looks like she's either in her late forties or maybe in her early fifties.

"A... Are you..."

"Yes, I'm the one who asked you to meet me here. " She replies saving me from my stuttering state.

"Okay." I nod my head wondering why on earth a woman like her would want to tell me about my mother early this morning at eight.

"So now..." She clears her throat her facial features hardening drastically as she gives me a mean eye. "Do you really want to know?"

"With all due respect ma'am, I don't think that I would have came here early this morning if I didn't want to know."

"Well, listen carefully missy. " Her voice turns mean all of a sudden and she takes a step closer to me. "My name is Odessa Turner."

Just hearing the name Turner has my heart stopping as I gasp out loudly in shock. She must be Maya's mother if I'm not mistaken. "What?" I all but ask in a shocked state.

"Yes." She hisses out forcefully. "You heard me right. " I'm Odessa Turner, Maya's--- "

"Mother." I finish off for her knowing that this is not good news as it is and she forces a smile nodding.

"I know what you did to my daughter and I'm not going to take it lightly. Before I go any further do you like your father Smith and your young brother Lodzin?" The fuck! How did she know them?

"Who the hell doesn't love the only family that she has?" I spit out in anger and that makes her smile more cynically.

"Then break up with my son." She says in a commanding voice.
