Ballice's pov

She looks so pale and the rest you can put it to imagination. But still she manages to be her adorable self with those Jade green eyes that I've missed so much.

"Before you tell me what I'm doing here and how long I've been staying here, I need water please." Her voice is gruff and she might be straining even though she doesn't show it.

I nod and uncap the bottle of water on the table beside her before handing it out to her.. She chugs down the whole bottle in a mere second and throws the bottle away. She doesn't say a word. She eyes another bottle and I uncap it for her, she still quenches it down just as fast as the first one and this time she now looks at me.

"Don't mind me. I feel like a Sahara." Her skin is starting to gain a little bit of colour now. But she looks so fragile. "How're you Bally." She smiles. Sweetly so mind you.

Instead of replying I find myself asking her back, "How're you feeling?"

"Well, except the feeling of a tone of loads weighing me down and needles pricking my skin... I'm okay. So tell me how're you?" She seems to have lost some memory if she isn't pretending then.

"I'm okay but I've been distraught ever since you were brought here." I say in a small voice watching her reaction.

"Talking of which. What happened? How long have I been here?" Her eyes bulges out.

"Odessa---"

"Damn yeah. Odessa happened. I guess you've met that monster already then." She gives me questioning eyes.

"Yeah...uhmmm... She's in jail ." I fumble with my words.

"I don't want to know what happened in details." She shakes her head her eyes coming to life. "The last thing I remember is... I don't even know." She closes her mouth looking away. "Is that a cake? A birthday cake at that?"

She fucking squeals. "Please." She stretches out her hand towards it.

"Princess, the doctors haven't yet---"

"The last thing you're going to do is stop me from taking that cake which I'm not mistaken is your birthday cake. I heard everything back then. It's your twentieth birthday and damn I couldn't miss it for the world." She shakes her head.

"Heck, you sure talk a lot for a person who has just woken up from a comma." I shake my head getting impressed by her. My heart is already melting.

"You're celebrating your twentieth birthday today and the last thing I remember is we were celebrating my 18th birthday in the woods. Don't tell me I've been out for eight months." Her lips quivers.

"Of course not. It's been just four months!" I don't know what I'll do if she starts crying.

"Where are the other fours months? Are they wiped out of my memory?" She looks at me with fear.

"I know you'll regain it eventually." I assure her.

"Give me the cake."

Well, ladies and gentlemen. The typical Kellane.

When I give her the cake, she asks me to help her sit. And when she does sit, leaning on the hip of two pillows, she immediately starts digging in.

"Cake monster." She has cake all over her face and she is talking with cake still in her mouth.

"You look like Helena." I fight back a laugh.

"From 'orphan Black'?" She arches a brow.

"You know it." I smirk at her.

"Well, I know my hair is sticking in all directions, damn it has outgrown me. And I love that psycho Helena, she's my favourite character then her sister Sarah." She takes another big chunk into her mouth.

"Your insulin level will shoot up. And who the hell talks about a series of movies on her first day of waking up from a comma?" I scold her lightly.

"Who eats cake..." She trails smiling lazily at me.

God I missed her.

Then all of a sudden the door to the hospital room bursts open... "Surprise!"

Well, guess who's surprised now?

The whole crew.

"Not my sunshine sitting on a hospital bed feasting on a cake." Her father drops the flowers he brought for her and so everyone is equally surprised including Tiffany and Camille who seems to have seen something like a ghost.

Lodzin has already run across the room and now he's hugging her sister tightly.

"You little John Cena." She shuffles his hair. Then she looks up at her tearing father, setting the remains of the cake aside and opening her arms wide for her dad. I've never seen that man cry. He literally cries as he hugs her daughter and son.

"I thought I'll never see you smiling that broad again." He says once he pulls back wiping off his tears.

"I can't believe I've been gone that long." She replies and her eyes falls on her best friends. She almost tears up. She looks down at her brother who's still stuck on her not wanting to let go. She whispers something in his ears and he pulls back. Then she opens her arms for her best friend s, they don't hesitate wrapping their own arms around her and now we're watching the three of them sob.

It's almost comical.

"Okay, we were supposed to surprise you Ballice but now we're the ones who were surprised." Zila comments wiping off an invisible tear.

"It's a double surprise." Mom adds and now Kellane pulls back to look at my mom. Her eyes lands on her stomach.

"Don't tell me..." She points at her stomach and every person in the room stills. "Ballice is going to have a baby brother or sister." She starts laughing. "Oh my God. I can't wait to see how that baby will wrap Ballice around her little finger."

She speaks enthusiastically I see how everyone lets out a sigh of relief.

Then everyone takes rounds to greet her starting with my mom, my dad and lastly my friends. She remains with her dad and brother. They talk for a while before her best friends take over. They chat for a while and the whole time I see them trying hard not to bring up something that may trigger her.

The doctors come later on and they check on her, they confirm that she maybe ready to leave the hospital in a week's time.

She can't really walk well but the doctors say that her limbs are weak, so she'll have to take some medication and certain meals to regain her energy.

Well at least she's okay now...
