Tleigh's pov
"Can I remove the blind fold now?" I ask anxiously tugging at the blind fold Ballice wrapped on my eyes the moment we stepped our feet out of the car.
"Two more steps ahead."
I move four steps ahead instead of two. I want to get this over with and see what's this surprise is once and for all
"You can remove it now sweet delic---"
Even before finishing his statement I pull the blindfold from my eyes and... I wasn't prepared for what my eyes meet.
"A... Ar.. you..." I swallow heavily shock evident on my face. "What?"I can't make out a meaningful sentence.
"What?" He shrugs his shoulders smiling sheepishly at me as he takes in my reaction.
"Are you fucking kidding me? Rooftop seriously honey?" I look at him unbelievably.
"Honey?" He raises his eyebrows.
You don't have to tease me for that new nickname jerk. Who wouldn't bluff new names seeing the most spectacular sight ever which has just been made possible by someone they call the love of their life? Well that's what I can call him because he sure is the love of my life and I'm not forgetting that soon or later he's going to be someone I used to know.
"Shut up and just give me a few seconds to savour this moment." I snarl.
"Anything for my princess and remember we're on top of a 63 floors building." I know I have phobia for heights but I'm glad it's night time, otherwise...
Up here, it's like looking down at the world which suddenly feel so wide and free that I want to jump. Lights are glittering everywhere just like stars dropping to the earth, huge and small buildings collide in a mixture of shadow and geometry, tiny vehiLightscles rushing along tangled lines of streets creating twisting threads of light and everything is intertwined together in a magnificent mess of a dream.
It's a breathtaking, marvellous, almost frightening dream that makes me feel like some fake, unlucky living thing.
You can see the whole hudson cityscape jumbled in all shapes, the sea on the further end of the city and people going on about the day. It feels like standing on a giant's back exploring the world with awe.
An half-moon hovers at the fringes of the luminous cityscape, where the red blinking lights of distance radio towers are twinkling in the soft blue night sky which is entirely cloudless but speckled with stars beautifully.
"OMG!" That's what my stupid mouth manages to say after taking in the surrounding.
Now I focus my eyes on the table before us and now I want to scream my lungs out. Is this some type of candle lighting dinner under the moonlight at night?
Is that marshmallow heart hot chocolate am seeing at the table and also tea with heart-shaped sugar cubes? Of course, oh God. I can also see Chocolate dipped strawberries and my hands are now itchy to reach them.
The table is decorated with glimmering candles which are a surefire way to create ambiance and don't forget the lantern at the centerpiece which is really doing good at setting mood. There is also a gorgeous bouquet of red and white roses at the centerpiece too and what looks like a great bottle of red wine.
"Those roses are actually for you." Bally's raspy voice mumbles and I nod not knowing what to say.
Honestly, this picturesque has a naturally dreamy feel cause I can also see fresh tree stumps holding some few other candles. My question is, how did they get fresh stumps of trees?
