After dating my beloved boyfriend Will Halstead now for almost an entire year it is now his birthday, the first birthday of his while we've been together and I have what I believe is the perfect plan, first a few phone calls needed to be placed. You see if you knew my boyfriend you'd know that he and his brother and I are three of the biggest Blackhawks fans. Will has nearly learned everything about me, I say nearly because there is only one thing he doesn't know and that is that I grew up with and am best friends with the Blackhawks most played goalie as of yet (meaning the time when this was written) Kevin Lankinen. Yep I think you can start to see what I'm planning. Tonight on the night of Will's birthday is the biggest hockey game of the year The Stanley cup, and not only are the Blackhawks in it the Stanley cup is being played in our hometown stadium, united stadium, (just pretend) not only that but they are also playing their biggest rivals the St. Louis blues. Now Jay his dear brother did indeed try to get tickets for he and Will as a gift, but because of the enormity of the game they sold out before he could get some. He also didn't know who I know. So I called up Kevin and as luck would have it, his girlfriend is on a business trip, and his parents are on a cruise he sent them on for their anniversary so he so graciously allowed me to use his ten seater rinkside qbox, and because I told him it was Will's birthday he said he and a few of his teammates would hang for a bit after the game and play a small half scrimmage with Will and a few of our friends. I thanked him and told him I owed him one as well. After calling Jay, Connor, Matt, Kelly and Stella, Mouse, and Adam and Kim confirming they would all come to the game, and vehemently promising not to breathe a word to Will, saying that they'd stay after too and that I would tell them how I got the tickets then too, I emailed them their tickets. So the plan was Connor, Matt, Stella, Kelly, Mouse, Adam, and Kim would meet us there. With the help of Jay I'd get Will to the game blindfolded and because obviously Will would have no idea where we're taking him, Jay was going to bring Will's jersey for him to put on once we got there. I couldn't wait and I hoped he loves it. *Le Time Skip to pulling up at the game* Because I had been so generously allowed to use the qbox seats they came with great parking as well. Right next to the arena! "This is so awesome!" Jay practically gushed. "What is? Can I look yet? I hear a lot of people." Will spoke up. I wrapped my arms around one of his and began leading him where we needed to go, "Not quite yet just a few minutes more, but first I need to add two things." I kissed his cheek then popped earplugs into his ears then covered them with ear muffs so he couldn't hear anything yet. Once we successfully navigated the crowd and arrived at the qbox to see all our friends had arrived. I stepped away from Will after removing the items from his ears and grabbing the Jersey from Jay and stood with our friends. "Ok on my count you can remove your blindfold babe- I took a breath and counted one.. two.. three!" Everyone except for Will yelled surprise and I held up his jersey! His eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas, "NO FUCKING WAY!! No no NO WAY!!" He yelled excitedly. I handed him his jersey which he pulled over his head then pulled me into his arms. "Way." I smiled. "How the hell did you pull this off? I thought all the tickets were sold out?" he asked. "You'll find out soon enough. This is only part one of two." I hinted while smiling mischievously. "Wait there's More?!" both Jay and Will exclaimed astonished. "Yep...the best may be yet to come." I nodded. "How could anything be better than this?" Connor chimed in. I just smiled. "Have I told you I love you?" Will asked cupping my cheek.  "Maybe once or twice." I giggled reaching up and running my hand through his fiery red locks. "Well I Love you and thank you so much." Will said giving me a passionate kiss. "I love you too." I replied after we parted for air. "Yeah alright enough, there's other people here you two." Kelly joked. The buzzer sounded signaling the flip off and the start of the game. "LET THE GAME BEGIN!" Adam yelled making us all laugh. *Time skip brought to you by the Blackhawks winning the Stanley cup* WOO HOO WOOOO! we all cheer as the confetti swirled around the stadium. "WE WON WE WON!" Will exclaimed scooping me up and spinning me around and kissing me. Once we settled a bit the adrenaline still teeming in our veins, Will looked around and noticed that while the rest of the stadium was headed for the exits, no one in our box made any effort to leave yet. "Why are we all still here?" Will asked eyebrow raised as the last few fans trickled out. "All we know is Y/n asked us to stay after, only she knows why." Matt answered motioning towards me. I had just gotten a text from Kev saying he's headed to the box excited to see me again and to meet everybody else especially Will. "Alright, Alright, I just got a text from the first half of part two he'll be here momentarily." I informed everyone. "He?" Will asked. "Don't tell me you got my brother a male stripper." Jay snorted. "Hell no. It's-" I was cut off by a knock at the door. I rushed forward so I could be the one to open it. "There she is! Gosh it's been too long!" Kevin said wrapping me in a hug. "You're the one who went pro, dude but you're the best one out there." I said. Finally I stepped aside so everyone could see who was here. "Everyone this is the Blackhawks goalie Kevin Lankinen, Kevin this is My boyfriend Will, his brother Jay and our friends Connor, Matt, Kelly, Stella, Greg but everyone calls him Mouse, Adam and Kim. Kevin and I grew up together he's practically my big brother." I said introducing everyone. "No way! Dude I'm a huge fan!" Jay was the first to speak up sticking out his hand to shake Kevin's. Will stood still shellshocked as everyone else said hi. I wrapped my hands around his arm again and walked us over to Kevin, "Go on Will Kev doesn't bite." I said. Finally Will snapped back to his senses and joined the conversation. After a few more minutes of conversing Kevin got everyone's attention and announced. "Alright so I don't know if little y/n/n here told you guys or not but I got a few of my teammates , Kirby Dach, Mattias Janmark, Alex Debrincat (Kim let out a little gasp), Brandon Hagel, and Patrick Kane to hang back for a bit and we'll be playing a little half scrimmage with those of you who want to. So follow me and let's hit the ice!" Kevin swung his arm in a follow me fashion and headed toward the door. It was Kelly, Jay, Matt, Adam, Stella, Mouse, Connor, Kim and Will's turn to be surprised. Jay came up slinging an arm around me and his brother, "Will if you don't marry her I will." He chuckled. I scoffed and chuckled while Will pulled me into his side. "Nah Uh she's mine." He smiled and kissed me. "And he has my heart." I added as we followed Kevin. I knew the other players Kevin had told us stayed behind, So as soon as I laced up my borrowed skates, I slid onto the ice hi fiving and hugging them saying thank you. Then after another round of introductions and a bit of fan girl/boying we played the scrimmage game. Kevin and his friends letting it come to a tie. Kevin came back up to us. "Since we've tied want to have a picture with us, your friends and the Stanley cup?" He offered. Will's eyes lit up again and he nodded vigorously. Patrick brought the cup out and we all gathered around, one of the janitors offered to take the photo for us. I slipped him twenty dollars as thanks. "And one more thing." Alex said handing a gift bag to Kevin which I knew contained the Jersey I had brought and dropped off with Kevin before hand so that he could get the whole team to sign it for me to give too Will. It was the one his mom had given him before she passed, he never wore it, to afraid to accidentally mess it up, so I figured I'd get it signed and he could frame it, Jay had once again come in clutch sneaking it out with the one he'd brought for Will to wear and as a thank you I'd managed to snag another one at the gift shop, to have signed to be given to Jay as well. Kevin handed me the bag to give to Will along with the gift shop bag containing Jay's I'd give him later. "So Will I wanted to do something special-" He cut me off saying "Tonights already been super special, thank you so much." I smiled "I wasn't done." He laughed and motioned for me to continue, " So while Jay was sneaking out the jersey for you to wear, I had him grab the one from your mom as well, don't worry it's perfectly fine, I dropped it off with Kevin here before the game with strict instructions that it be returned in one piece with a little something added." I handed Will the gift bag hoping he'd like it. I anxiously await his reaction as he lifts it gently out of the bag, It is so quiet you could hear a pin drop. His eyes grow so wide I was afraid they'd pop out of his head. He looked at the jersey then at me then the jersey then me again. Dropping it back into the gift bag he scoops me into his arms hugging me tight. "I love it so much, thank you, thank you, thank you." He kissed me several times once between each thank you. "I figured since you didn't want anything to happen to it and now that it's signed you can frame it and commemorate it forever." I explained Caressing his cheek and wiping away a happy tear from his cheek. "It's amazing, so thoughtful, it's now more than ever my most prized possession." Will said. He set me down and took a step back, "And you know what I was going to do this tomorrow, I had a whole thing planned but, screw it I'm so in love with you, will you give me one more birthday present and make this my absolute best birthday ever and make me the happiest guy on this planet..." He got down on one knee fishing a black velvet box out of his pocket," Y/N Y/L/N will you marry me?" He asked. I vaguely hear Kim squeal as it faded down a fuzzy tunnel as I straight up fainted.

Will's POV for a moment:

"Oh shit oh shit Y/N!" I panicked as Connor jumped in to catch her before she hit the ground as I wasn't fast enough to get up from my kneeling stance. I took her from Connor thanking him. Lightly tapping her cheek I began waking her up. Kevin spoke up with very slight amusement in his voice," Looks like that hasn't changed." I looked up at him confused, he proceeded to explain that she's been like this her whole life, whenever she got too excited or too stressed her brain just kinda short circuits and resets, that not to worry she's perfectly fine. I and everyone else let out a sigh of relief. I look back down at her as she started to stir.

Back to your POV:
Oh no, not again, and I didn't get a chance to tell Will that this happens and I'm always fine. As I blinked my eyes a few times and everything came back into focus I saw Will looking down at me, "Hey you, welcome back you scared us there for a minute." He smiled, I was relieved Kevin must have explained it. "I'm so Sorry Will, Sorry everyone." I blushed hiding my face in the crook of Will's neck. "It's okay we're just glad you're alright." Will reassured and everyone chimed in with yeas, it's fine, and everything's okay. Will helped me to my feet as Kim helped me brush myself off and fix my hair. "Now Y/N I believe your man asked you a question, one that we're all dying to hear the answer too." Kim perfectly reminded us. Everyone else cheered in agreement. Will smiled and got back down on one knee extending the ring again. I looked at him as a huge smile lit up my face " YES! YES!YES!" I said as he slid the ring on my finger and picked me up and spun me around and kissed, me as everyone cheered. Once the excitement finally died down I said thank you to Kevin and his team mates again, who congratulated me and Will, I gave Kevin a hug goodbye with promises of invites to the wedding and we all made our way to our cars. I thanked our friends for coming and gave them each a party favor I had gotten everyone a commemorative hockey puck. Once Will, Jay and I were driving back to drop Jay at his apartment seeing as how he'd ridden with us I gave him his jersey since Will was driving. "As a thank you for the extra help you did today, couldn't have pulled it off without you." I smiled. "No WAY, thank you so much." He exclaimed upon seeing the signed jersey. "Also as a bribe to help you except me as your new sister in law." I joked. "Ha-ha." He laughed. Once he wished Will a happy birthday once more and congrats as well he was off leaving just Will and I. We drove home holding hands whispering sweet nothings to each other. Once we finally got cleaned off for the day and into our pajamas, exhausted from the fun of today, We sleepily cuddled up with each other and Will spoke, "Thank you so much for today, this has really truly been one of the best if not the best birthday I ever had, you make me so happy, and I love you so much, and I never want to lose you, I'm so so so happy you agreed to marry me. " He said giving me a sweet passion filled kiss. "I love you too so so much, I don't know what I'd do without you I don't want to lose you either, but I know I'm not leaving you if I have any say in it and I'm so glad you enjoyed everything Sorry again for fainting." I smiled kissing him. "You won't lose me either, and don't worry about the fainting  everything's perfect now."  He whispered. "Besides I had the best, hottest doctor there to look out for me." I added making him laugh and pull me closer holding me tighter. "Goodnight my love." He said kissing me once more. "Goodnight, sweet dreams, sleep well." I said snuggling into his chest. "I always do when you're in my arms." he said as I drifted into a restful slumber feeling safe, happy, and loved, which I hoped he felt the same.
