Monthly Pains ( Topper Thornton x Reader )

Once a month being a girl absolutely sucks, and for me I get the sucky fatigue, cramps, and always on the first day the cramps are so bad they make me nauseous and sometimes if I move too quickly, or the wrong way I do end up getting sick. Top and I have been dating for 8 months now and I have managed to hide that really bad aspect but there has been a few close calls but they all got resolved. If only I knew today was the day he'd find out on accident I probably would've just stayed home, or advocated to do something other than a pool day at Topper's with our friends. I got up did my morning routine, and put on a bathing suit and took some pain meds prepared to mostly suck it up. I planned to just sit in the sun for half the time, then the shade for the rest, and if Top just HAS to have me in the water I'll sit on the stairs. I slathered myself in sunscreen before popping it in my bag to take with me and making the 10 minute trek over to his house. Once I arrived I just went straight around to the pool, figuring the boys were already out there and I was correct. It was me, Topper, Rafe and Kelce. Kelce was the first to notice me as I opened the gate. "HI Y/n." he waved. "Hey Kelce, Hey Rafe, Hi baby." I said giving Topper a kiss as he got out of the pool and came over to greet me. "Hi Beautiful." He said making me blush. "Stop." I rolled my eyes choosing a chair and laying out my towel. Topper jumped back into the pool and once he resurfaced he asked. "So are you gonna get in?" I took a breath and smiled, "Maybe, in a little bit, I want to soak in the sun for a little first." I answered. He nodded and smiled then continued the conversation they were having, something about golf techniques. I pulled out my water bottle and book getting comfy on the lounge chair. I sipped my water and dove into my book. After about 20 minutes I offered waters to the boys. Which they gratefully took then they started some sort of water basketball game. "Want to be on my team babe?" Topper asked as I watched them intrigued. I gently shook my head and offered a soft smile. "Thanks but no thanks I'm good here." I replied. "OK, hope you're ok though." He said. "I'm fine, I promise." I assured. "Oh man y/n you've got him whipped, he is officially your bitch." Rafe laughed. "It's called being considerate, maybe you should try it sometime." I sass back. Kelce and Top snickered. I tried to inconspicuously breathe a few deep breaths as I could feel the meds beginning to wear off and the waves of nauseous cramps slowly starting back up. I didn't want to draw any attention to myself or pull Topper away from the fun he's having. I try to focus back on my book after sipping some water hoping it would help. I could feel beads of sweat at my temple from the internal battle my body was having. After what I'd say was roughly 10 minutes, I couldn't even focus on my book anymore, tossing it aside and closing my eyes. I then decided to move into the shade. "If you're getting hot, you can always hop on in." Kelce called. I just held my thumb up not daring to speak at the wave that just rolled up my throat. I sipped some more water and focused on breathing and not looking like how I felt. However I was too focused on my breathing to hear that Topper had gotten out of the pool and was sneaking over to me until he had me scooped up in his arms dashing back to the pool. "TOP NO!"I shrieked feeling an overwhelming bought of nausea climbing my throat. He took no heed in what I said jumping in with me still in his arms. "FUCK." I yelped as we crashed into the water. I scrambled over to the edge of the pool clamping my mouth shut hand clamped across my lips, yanking myself out and barley making it over to the grass before my body forced me to eject my stomach contents. I coughed, puking twice before lowering myself to the ground on shaky legs hanging my head between my knees. Top was out of the pool and at my side in a flash. "Baby are you okay? I'm so sorry I would never have done that if I knew you weren't feeling well." He fretted feeling guilty. "It's okay." I breathed leaning into him. "You good y/l/n?" Rafe asked as I felt a towel draped over my shoulders and my water bottle appeared at my other side. "I will be thanks." I murmured taking a mouthful of water swishing it around my mouth then spitting it out ridding my mouth of the awful after taste. "So are you sick or?" Topper asked concerned. "I'm not sick and I'm definitely not pregnant." I assured him. "Then what happened baby?" He inquired concerned lovingly rubbing my back. "I'm on my monthly and the first day I get bad cramps really bad cramps, and sometimes they're so bad I get sick." I explained. "Oh baby I'm so sorry, we should've just taken it easy today." He sighed kissing my temple. "Top baby don't beat yourself up, I chose to come, I chose to not say anything, but I'm okay, and we're okay, I could really do with getting out of this heat though." I comforted. "Oh absolutely, can you walk? do you need help?" Top asked helping me stand. "Can I lean on you please?" I asked. "Of course baby, c'mere." He placed his arm around my shoulders helping me towards his house. "Sorry for ruining pool day guys." I called over my shoulder. "Nah you didn't it's all good." Rafe said. "We probably have had enough sun for today anyways." Kelce agreed following behind us. We went inside Top helping me upstairs and into his shower to rinse us off and he washed my hair, which I fully enjoyed nuzzling into his hands as he gently massaged my scalp. After our shower we changed, him into some sweats and a shirt and the same for me. Top grabbed the throw blanket tossed across the foot of his bed draping it over my shoulders. "C'mere the guys are probably waiting to watch movies is that okay?" He asked gently scooping me up and carrying me downstairs to the movie room. "That's just fine baby." I nodded. "Hey hey there she is the queen lives." Kelce chuckled. "You feeling better?" Rafe asked. "Meh so so." I replied. "Would a heating pad help?" He asked. "Immensely, please." I answered. "Here I went ahead and plugged it in to heat up for you because Top asked me too." he explained handing it to Topper who had situated me on his lap and then Top placed it over my stomach. "Rafe Cameron? Having a bit of consideration? Who knew all I had to do was puke in the grass to mellow you out a bit." I laughed causing them to laugh as well. Rafe chucked a throw pillow at me lightly "You better not tell anyone though, and It's only cause we've known each other so long, we're practically family at this point." he rolled his eyes pretending to be annoyed. "My lips are sealed Cameron, So what are we watching boys?" I asked cuddling into Topper as he held me close. The boys helping me to relax and taking my mind off of my pain. Getting me food and drink and whatever else I might have needed.
