I was awoken from my slumber by a series of pokes, much like an annoying mosquito, just without the blood sucking. "MMmhm whosit?" I mumbled more frustrated I'd been awoken then scared knowing whoever was in my house right now had to know not only where my family keeps the spare key, but also the code to the alarm so it could only be one of a handful of people, none of which would be trying to rob or kill me. "C'mon get up girly." the offender spoke ripping my covers off. "Whhhyyy???" I whined cracking open my eyes to see it was none other than Kelce my best friend since 2nd grade. "Why are you here, and why are you disturbing me you heathen?" I questioned grumpily. "Harsh, I come as a messenger." Kelce smiled and held up his hands in a surrender like fashion. "And who's this message from?" I roll my eyes sitting up and scraping my hair into a ponytail. "Your boyfriend." Kelce replied. "Oh yeah and what does he want at 6:30 am on a summer morning that he couldn't have just called or texted me about?" I asked walking to my bathroom to brush my teeth as Kelce sits down on my desk chair spinning around. "That he requests you meet him at the hawk's nest by 6:45." Came Kelce's answer. "What for?" I ask through my closed bathroom door changing into some shorts and a t-shirt. "Didn't say." Kelce smirked. "Ok then, looks like I'm drinking my breakfast today." I sighed heading downstairs Kelce trailing behind as I put a packet of instant breakfast in a water bottle and added milk before shaking it up. "You want one?" I offered Kelce. "Yes please." He nodded and smiled. "Just make sure that somehow someway this water bottle gets back to me please and thank you." I asked grabbing another water bottle and packet, adding both the packet and milk to the water bottle shaking it up and handing it to Kelce. "The breakfast of champions." I joked handing it off and grabbing mine. "Thanks." Kelce snickered. "You driving or am I?" I asked. "I will, let's go." Kelce replied. "Fine I pick the music." I countered. "Whatever." Kelce rolled his eyes as we got in his car. We made the quick 10 minute drive parking and walking the short path to the hawk's nest. "Ok so there's no other cars in the parking lot, am I supposed to think he flew here or?" I asked confused. "In the hawks nest." Kelce said nodding to the stairs. "Ugh fine." I sighed climbing the like 5 flights of stairs and marching to the door and yanking it open. "Topper? Babe? what's going on?" I asked, Kelce entering behind me as I looked around realizing Kelce and I were the only ones here. I spun around to yell at Kelce only to see him locking the door, locking us, well more so me in. "What the hell?" I asked mildly concerned. "Relax, we're pranking Top, you and I are going to spend the first half of the day here, then Rafe is going to switch off with me claim his Dad needs him for work stuff or some excuse and I'll hang with Top the second half of the day while Rafe hangs with you." Kelce explained. "Of course you and Rafe are pranking Top, but what do I have to do with it?" I asked flopping into a chair. "Well you see last night we kind of got into a friendly argument about whether or not ya boy is whipped, he says no, but Rafe and I know better, so we devised this little 'prank' to see how reacts to no contact, and not being able to find you." Kelce laughed. "What do you mean no contact I have my phone." I said holding it up for emphasis. "Yeah there's no signal out here." Kelce scratched the back of his neck. "Why am I not surprised." I shook my head. "But on the bright side you're with your best friend, we've got a great view, food, beverages, clean restrooms, and board games galore." He chuckled gesturing to the wide array of board games. "Because you didn't ask for this, I'll let you pick first." He smiled. "Alright let's see." I muttered running my fingers over the boxes as I read their titles. "Ooh parcheesi." I laughed holding it up then setting it on the table. "You're on." Kelce challenged helping me set up the board.

Topper's POV: I yawn, stretched then rolled over to check my phone to see if my girl has texted me. I'm a bit baffled to find she hasn't, there's only one from Rafe: You free to hit the driving range? I pause and think to myself, maybe she's just sleeping in it is only 8 am, so maybe I'll spend an hour or so with Rafe practicing my swing and then I'll probably hear from her. Top: Sure I'll meet you there. I got dressed grabbed a protein smoothie and headed out, but not before checking my phone again, still nothing, weird, I shot her a text: Hey beautiful, hope your day is going well, hope you're ok, I miss you. I sighed lightly shaking my head to clear it before driving to the golf course. Rafe was waiting with his clubs when I pulled up so we walked in grabbed a basket of balls and headed to the driving range. Once we got settled and started taking turns driving the balls, I pulled out my phone again to see once again no messages even after 45 minutes. I tried not to let it show but I guess I frowned because Rafe was asking me what was up. "You seem off today, a little distracted perhaps maybe by a certain someone?" He teased. "No no." I shook my head. "Really cause your drives are falling short dude." He laughed. "Uh fine y/n isn't answering my texts." I admitted. "MMmhmm have you tried calling her?" He chuckled raising an eyebrow. "Not yet, should I?" I wondered. "Up to you man." Rafe shrugged teeing a ball and sending it sailing. I pulled up my recents tapping on her number then holding my phone to my ear. It rang and rang, until it went to voicemail. I left a short but sweet message before hanging up and taking my turn absolutely slicing my drive. "I hope she's okay." I worried aloud. "Dude it's an island, not too much trouble here bro." Rafe snorted.
